Physician Services going downhill

Pros

Decent starting pay and benefits, company outings and events like painting, whirlyball, half hour walk breaks, happy hours, casual dress code, PTO

Cons

Lack of respect for employee's outside life. Inconsistent management, often overwhelming workloads, high employee turnover, unfair favoritism, hours not flexible, despite being told otherwise- you do not get the ability to work from home unless you have good ties with the managers

Great, Challenging Company

Business Outlook

Pros

- Challenging yet rewarding work - processes/priorities change daily, but that keeps it interesting - Career growth for those willing to work hard - Opportunities to collaborate with other departments - Leadership will give you feedback - positive or constructive - for your personal development - Flexible schedules for those meeting or exceeding job requirements - Making a difference in healthcare

Cons

Agree with the review a few days ago. I more have "warnings" for those who are looking to apply: - If you can't deal with a continuously changing, fast-pace environment, this is not the place for you. - Like most companies, there are different levels of performers. Unfortunately, the low performers are the loudest (you'll see their reviews below). The funny thing is, it doesn't take much to be a high performer. It's pretty simple actually. You really just need to be able to work independently, do quality work, and show you can meet the minimum job expectations. Management gives you TONS of chances and coaching too to help you get to that minimum threshold. - vRad is flexible with team members, but will let team members go if they can't cooperate with their boss, take too many breaks to gossip in the break room or on IM/emails. Even though you're one person in the company, vRad's work fluctuates, so when one person is slacking, it not only hurts their department, but the doctors and the patients waiting for our services.

Pros

vRad is a good company. Individuals that continually strive to add value and make a positive impact on the business, are rewarded by opportunities for advancement, job flexibility, work-life balance, and reasonably competitive compensation. I have worked at vRad for seven years and have been through the highs and lows of the business. I strongly believe that most all past and present leadership have had good intentions and are sincerely doing their best to lead us all in moving the company in the right direction. Bottom line, if you can demonstrate how you are continually adding value to the company and get along well with others, you will have a happy, successful career at vRad. I have a work-life balance I know would be extremely hard to find at another company. It has allowed me to feel successful in my career and as a mother. I feel like I have an opportunity to make a difference every day I come to work, and I have felt this way since the day I started. vRad does away with the red tape and rewards individuals for their hard work. The office in Eden Prairie is very nice.

Cons

I don't consider this a con, but vRad is a very fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. If you do not like change, this is not the company for you. vRad is a smaller company and not all jobs have a well defined career path. If that is what you are looking for, this is not the company for you. You need to take the initiative to make your own career path at vRad and run with it. It's not always going to be easy, but nobody will hold you back.
