Pros

A paycheck twice a month

Cons

ZERO employee work/life balance… they treat you like a machine/robot. All they care about is you getting the massive amount of work done with no help, while attending 1,000 calls a day, then asking why the work isn’t getting done… all while adding more and more work to your plate. Oh, and “unlimited PTO” is a joke - they frown upon ANY PTO being taken. RUN AWAY!!!

As a start-up, we are growing and maturing every day. Start-up life can be different and more challenging than working for a more established organization but is also so rewarding. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to the mission of Vori Health. During busy times, leadership and the People team encourage you to reflect on our meeting norms. Please feel empowered to decline meetings that do not need your attendance and feel empowered to block your schedule on “no meeting Wednesday” as you find appropriate. We’re always looking for ways to improve how we tackle our work here, and would welcome additional suggestions on how we can efficiently reach our goals. We recently switched to a flexible PTO policy to encourage greater work life balance. Vori Health encourages all team members to take time off throughout the year to rest and recharge. On a vary rare occasion a leader would need to deny a request, the leader will then work with the team member to find an alternative day prioritizing work/life balance. We encourage you to speak directly to your leader or a member of the People team about your specific needs and/or requests off.

Pros

Since day one, everyone has been supportive and accommodating to my transition into this role. Diversity and inclusion is a top priority to promote a healthy work culture.

Cons

It's a start-up so things are always changing which is to be expected.

We are elated to hear that your onboarding experience was a positive one! Diversity, Equity, and Belonging (DE&B) is embedded in our DNA- thank you for shouting this out. Vori Health will continue to make this a top priority. Like any startup, things are moving quickly, but our leadership team is committed to communicating effectively with their teams. Weekly 1:1’s are here to stay! Thank you for taking the time to write this positive review!

Pros

*The people's team (or "HR" if you're used to the non-profit/hospital world) is a well-oiled machine. From the initial interview down to onboarding, they are transparent and communicative. *The interview process aligns with your job function and role. Great opportunity to shine. *ELT and SLT are open to feedback and transparent about their efforts to remain open to feedback (they're human too). *The company is FILLED with brilliant minds. Every person has different expertise, and it is truly valued here. *The director-level staff are incredibly supportive- yes, they're busy. Still, my supervisor (Director of Operations) always has time to help me if I'm confused or hitting a bottleneck (or if I just need to talk). *When I first started, so many different "Vorriors" reached out to offer their support- and meant it! *Meetings are well-oiled machines (for the most part!)- Staff feel comfortable checking each other if a meeting is better suited for an email or if we can keep the focus on the task at hand. The transparency is a sign of respect, and I greatly appreciate it! I love to work- yes, I'm one of those weirdos who feel fulfilled at my job. Vori is a place where I feel comfortable speaking up or asking questions. All Vori staff understand that everyone has something to offer.

Cons

I'm an early bird, so I prefer to have an earlier shift, but most of the company is west coast (I still work a normal shift- just would love to move it earlier!).
