Pros

I developed great relationships with my coworkers.

Cons

If you have no idea what you want to do in life and would like to waste a few years of it this is a perfect place to be. I could go on and on about why not to take a job with this company but instead I will simply give you two statements to ponder over. From there you can make your own decision on if this is the place/company you would want to work for. What has turnover been in the last 2 years (since May 2017)? 15. Of those 15 people 11 quit on their own. Question 2) How many people have been promoted in the 18 months? The answer is 1. An office of nearly 19 sales reps. This is due to the fact that management doesn't provide any REAL help. It's quick wins and selling and re-selling old accounts that have been "sold" 5 times over. If you do take a job here I wish you the best. Be prepared for stress, "Playing the game", and an endless rat race of figure it out.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave comments on your experience with the company. Worldwide Express has continued to grow year after year and we are not exempt from growing pains. We are reinforcing the growth model with training and programs that help excel our employees. In 2018 alone, we advanced over 230 employee careers through internal promotions. Advancement on the sales side is earned based on margin dollars. You truly get what you put into your career. We also have uncapped earning potential so the sky is the limit.

Pros

Great stepping stone to learn how to grind it out in the field. So if your going to work here, start in the spring or summer when the weather is nice, get your experience and then quit and move on to something better before the cold months hit if you live in a state with that kind of climate change.

Cons

Management oversells you on the "residual commissions" and how much money you can make. When in reality you spend countless hours cold calling daily which involves driving around your territory for up to 8 hours to MAYBE find a lead or two. Out of the few leads you get a week, one or two of those may turn into an appointment and out of those two appointments you have a 25% chance of it going anywhere. By the time you do sell a deal you've probably spent close to 30 hours working this lead to make it into something. After it's all said and done this customer probably spends $500 to $1000/week and you may run 10-15% margin, of that you make 5%. After you do the math that makes you roughly $5week ($20/month). Go ahead and divide that by how many hours you put into selling the deal and it's practically nothing. You'll also notice the company is full of young employees. There is zero opportunity for growth. Generally the VP or some executive level employee will create positions to keep their favorites around other than that your eventually doomed for termination. Each office generally has a sales manager who makes over six figures simply because they were in the right place at the right time. There is EXTREMELY high employee turnover for any account executives. In my 7 months there was someone who got fired atleast every month. It's a win-win for the sales managers though. They keep all your accounts and leads and have their new or current people continue to work them. It's almost intentional that they have high turnover.

Pros

The only pro's of working for Worldwide would be the free wine and beer, parties that are thrown here and there, fairly reasonable healthcare, a Christmas bonus that helped out and the ability to say you work in the EY building downtown. Other then that, I can't think of anything else.

Cons

Where to start? Besides the pay being a slap in the face for all the stuff you put up with on a daily basis, whether it be from the franchises themselves or your own coworkers/management. You get to also work in a day care; the sales reps run the office and if you are in support/operations, well you are basically the whipping post for their needs and their customers. Management offers no support, nor does c-level. Quarterly town halls to discuss issues? It's mostly a meeting to introduce all the new faces and also to let you know how much money they are planning on making this year. They, not you. If you have an opinion or thought that differs from one of your superiors, good luck and sure as heck do not tell the franchise that they are wrong and yes the error is because of them. 9/10, customers are oversold and operations spends a majority of their day trying to pick up the pieces. The CRM and software is archaic, different versions being used by different customers/teams, which creates more errors then you can imagine. Upward mobility is non-existent as most employees do not leave and they are stuck creating positions to keep the good employees in. Also, watch out for big brother :)
