Pros

There is a core of committed managers and a great group of people who try very hard to do the right things.

Cons

There are a great deal of horrible managers and nearly all the senior leadership who could care less about the right things. Selfish, ignorant decision makers who make things worse. Now there appears to be a new owner who values the potential Westinghouse offers, but it is yet to be determined if they have the wherewithal and courage to fire the senior managers who made the mess we are all too real.

Pros

Salary is competitive and the facilities in Cranberry are nice; good gym and cafeteria. Great engineering teams - creative and hard working.

Cons

Everything else - few opportunities for promotion, toxic environment with bankruptcy, very little trust in the capabilities of upper management to lead a scout troop, let alone a multi-national nuclear company.

Pros

Company has been through significant changes over the past several years. Still dealing with the fallout of previous leadership's poor decisions. New CEO making pretty sweeping changes, which is both adding to the chaos and leading to a brighter future. There were significant leader behavior issues which nearly destroyed the company.

Cons

Still going through changes, but overall lacking a cohesive change management process. This is causing miscommunication and precluding desired improvements from taking effect as quickly as needed. HR department is running amuck and causing further injury to the company's reputation as an employee friendly place to work. It seems that they have very little procedural guidance and are making judgement calls (done by individuals with questionable experience, knowledge, empathy, etc.)
