Pros

I built relationships with builders who remained my friends and helped me network after I left the company. They hire a lot of Aggies straight out of school. We had a departmental gathering outside of work or a potluck during work every quarter.

Cons

Inside Sales is extremely micro managed. On top of the managers peering over our shoulders and watching our every move, including going through emails, we also had countless pointless meetings so that someone could poke around our desk while we weren't sitting there. The turnover rate was extremely high during my tenure, just about everyone I started with had quit or was about to when I left. I don't recommend WBS.

Pros

You can leave for lunch

Cons

Managers are untrained at managing people and are allowed to harass without consequences; Absolutely no pay raises; No feedback or review process; No room to advance; Management can get rid of you without any due process or good reasoning and will do this if you have a disagreement with them for any reason; Benefits are very expensive; You could spend as many as 15 years in the exact same position; No recognition for doing a good job or anything such as that.

Pros

It’s a job, it’s challenging and will provide you some experience to find a better job.

Cons

Be ready to be treated like a child. To start out, the pay is terrible. A bachelors degree is “required” I say this lightly as I don’t think a majority of employees have one. They can’t seem to keep employees, so more work is piled on top of you even when you can’t handle it. They are constantly asking for suggestions and then don’t want to listen or do anything about their employees who voice their frustration. Management is always talking about “changes” but the information is not given to anyone. Managers have a clique of friends that get to hear new changes but they don’t spread it to the employees who it might be affecting. The office itself is disgusting (for the downstairs anyways, the executives upstairs have it much different). There is always spilled coffee grounds in the ice machine (if it isn’t frozen up), The snacks in the vending machine are often stale or moldy, the bathrooms reek and often times only two stalls are working. And don’t expect to get any answers from management through email. They will either completely ignore it or take 3 weeks to answer. I understand it’s a very email heavy job, but it’s not that hard to respond to an email.
