The needle in the haystack...

Pros

Friendly, professional, and supportive people from the top to the bottom. Opportunities to work with some of the bay area's most elite organizations. Very generous benefit packages to choose from. A very receptive and responsive leadership team.

Cons

The location of the office (from a personal perspective). Although salaries seem to be fair, the lower echelon folks may have a hard time making ends meet with the local cost of living.

Pros

Lots of smart, friendly, hardworking people to work with. People get together outside of work because they like each other. Company is growing. Small firm, you are able to have an impact. Company actually stops serving customers who treat consultants poorly! Management very straightforward and accessible, things get better as a result of employee input.

Cons

There is still a lot of the day to day to do, its not all sexy projects. But then it never is anyplace.

The employees are fantastic...

Pros

- really smart technical people - challenging environment - work hard / play hard mentality - training money available - very focused on jr. staff - lots of opportunity for promotions if you are a help desk employee but none if you are more senior

Cons

- work life balance isn't great. Lots of talk about hiring more people but little action - salaries are low for the amount and type of work - training money available but not time to use it - training budget is so small it can't be used for a class - top management is disorganized and quick to point out people's faults - bonuses are tiny compared with the profits - top management spend time focusing on things that don't matter to the employees
