Pros

Great culture and work environment. I have made some of my best friends here in just over a year. The business is growing so quickly that space is getting tight, but I don't see that as a negative. It just means more help for me. Team lead positions and above have fairly autonomous responsibilities; engineers also have the opportunity to speak up when we have an opinion or idea we'd like to discuss. Everything moves quickly (we are Agile), so if you can't keep up you will lag behind on your work.

Cons

We are growing quickly and innovation can get lost in the shuffle if we don't maintain appropriate levels of staff. Yeah, the space is tight but I'll take that any day to make sure we continue to get to work on cool things. Peak season is always crazy and you can guarantee we will work longer hours.

Pros

Operational managers are wonderful to work with. The operations as a whole have a lot of great and supportive people working for them. Team member/ Mgmt interactions are always pleasant.

Cons

Corporate needs to do better and be better. Zero communication. Certain locations have not had a park visit in years from direct corporate supervisors. Never heard, always put down. Direct corporate manager does nothing but belittle workers, create a toxic work environment, induced mass anxiety within workers. There is nothing to benefit from working for a tyrant. If you want to “instill a sense of ownership” in your workers, takes notes from them and listen to them. The treatment of employees at a corporate level is disgraceful.

Some of the ideas that are deployed across the parks are often a response to feedback, ideas, or concerns from the Park Managers. Pros

Few pros. Bonuses sometimes IF we make the numbers. Free usage of the product on days off.

Cons

It is a culture of “getting people in trouble.” If you don’t fall into the “cool” or “accepted” category then you will be ousted.
