Pros

I am an ex iNET employee of 8 years. I can tell you that I have pros and cons just like everyone else. I can also tell you that working at iNET has been one of the best experiences of my life. I drank the iNET “kool-aid” and loved every minute of being a “Creative Genius” for the better part of a decade and will continue to be a “Creative Genius” for the rest of my life thanks to iNET. The only reason I left iNET is because I wanted to become a software application specialist, which at this time iNET does not offer… YET! Someday they will, and I can’t wait for that opportunity. All I see here is negative comments about how bad people’s jobs were and nothing positive about how awesome it really was. Have you seen some of the work that iNET has done? It is cutting edge. Have you ever looked to your friend sitting next to you and just laughed hysterically? I did, almost on a daily basis. If you like to work hard and work with some of the best creative designers, developers and inspirational minds in the business then iNET is the place for you. If you are the type of employee that just wants to go through the motions and work 9-5 then iNET is NOT the place for you. If you like to play “hookie” 1 day a week or 1 day a month then iNET is NOT for you. Nothing in this company was given to me, I had to work for it. Work hard and you will be rewarded. I vote YES to iNET!

Cons

Tech Bench needs to be upgraded to something modern. It has been 7 years with that old bench. iNET needs a phone conference room for team meetings with customers.

Great bonds with co-workers because they are all unighted by fear.

Pros

Employees develop great relationships with peers that lasts for (in some cases) years past their time working at iNET. A big reason why co-workers bond so well is because they need to support each other when they each inevitably become the target for the fear and domination style of management that iNET implements. People who had/have long tenures at iNET seemed to either agree with the militant and unflinching leadership, or they were able to keep their head down and take it. The work is varied and exciting. Because all of the work is client work, the tasks that come in through the door are rarely the same, so if you enjoy creative problem solving, you would probably enjoy the type of clients that iNET attracts. You'll never be bored. Often iNET will hire people as their first job in the industry. It's good for them to build up their resume. But I'd recommend that they leave when they have the opportunity.

Cons

- I experienced a pressure cooker type of environment - It seemed to have a blame centric approach to problem handling - I saw a low tolerance for opposing viewpoints

Good Learning Experience, Terrible Ownership

Pros

-Good environment to learn basic skills in PC repair, web development, and/or sales. -Great co-workers. -Is somehow still going in the right direction. -Josh is holding the place together.

Cons

- Be prepared to be yelled at, in front of everyone, like you're a child. - Do not disagree with Steve, or your life will be hell. - Always be ready for his occasional punch to the kidney when you're on the phone with a customer, because it happens all the time. - Be prepared to do random jobs that they don't want to hire for, like cleaning, helping build the place, moving the entire store. - Expected to pay out of pocket expenses for all equipment, IE screwdrivers, solder, screw trays. - Bring whatever software you want that you think would help fix customers PCs. - Don't expect to sit during the day, or get a lunch or break. You work 8 hours straight, standing, eating lunch with everyone else at your workspace. If you're lucky you can crap twice a day. - Get ready to have massive turnaround in co-workers. During my 4 year tenure I saw no less than a dozen people come and go, mostly because they couldn't deal with Steve thinking he was God. Some of these people were heads of departments, running servers, service, and web development. - Get ready to have your personal life brought up in front of everyone, including customers, as Steve has no issue yelling at the top of his lungs about it. -Don't expect to have any kind of raise/review. They only give raises if you start taking on more work, not for doing your job better than anyone else.
