Pros

I first started at iNET as a junior in college. I had no real industry experience to speak of but told the CEO that I was willing to work, even if that meant getting coffee. They took me on and put me to work, fast. I didnt know what I was doing to begin with, they kind of threw me into the pool and let me learn how to swim, but when I asked for help they offered it. Ive since returned to iNET three times, the summer before my senior year and during my winter breaks because they just needed some extra work. At the end of my second summer there I was offered a full time position. Naturally, I thought about it over a few months back at school and the gravity of how awesome iNET was really hit me. The people I worked with were smart, hard working, and fun to be around. They were willing to hire a 19 year old who knew nothing and show him the ropes because he showed some initiative. I learned about mobile marketing, SEO, web design, and more. I grew as an employee here and there's a reason iNET is listed firs on my resume. The work was tons of fun, too. Every day I would write copy for a different company. Sometimes it was a law firm, other times it was a hunting preserve, and other times I wrote about adult diapers for an entire week. Now, as I graduate college and enter the business world I can't wait to start at iNET because I know how much I will continue to grow with this company. I went from not knowing a thing about SEO or marketing to working as a full time copy writer because of iNET. It's a weird place with an abnormal corporate culture full of nerds who love data and love to work hard. And I love it there.

Cons

No direct deposit is honestly my biggest complaint. There isnt much in the way of official training so you need to teach yourself a bit, but the people around you are more than happy to help. Because iNET takes on so many projects people tend to wear a lot of hats. This can be great because you gain more experience, but can also suck because maybe you dont want to learn coding. You work with a lot of nerds. But I like nerds so I never minded. Is iNET the best place in the world to work? No. Are there problems with management or certain aspects of corporate culture that are irritating? Yes. Are 99% of all employers the exact same? Absolutely.

Hard Work is Rewarded

Pros

One night, a few months after starting, I stayed late to finish up a project I didn't want to leave until morning. The storage room adjacent was being cleared out and remodeled, as we're expanding and desperately needed the extra space. The doorway to the next room was just an unfinished frame. A few blocks of wood slapped up. Right around 6:00, one of the higher ups walks back into the new room. I'd only ever seen him in a shirt and tie. This time, he wears an old t-shirt. He's on the phone with someone I assumed to be his wife. He's staying late tonight. He hangs up, picks up a sanding sponge and begins sanding down the door frame. These are people you want to work for. Their vision is clear. They're in it with you. They care. Help them, and they help you. This job is what you make it. Want higher pay? Work hard, earn it, and you'll get it. Need help? Ask. The collaboration culture here is truly astonishing. Everyone is knee deep in work, so you might feel isolated and a little overwhelmed at times. However, ask someone for help, and they will drop everything to accommodate you. If you're like me, and you despise middle managers breathing down your neck, detest unnecessary overhead capping your wages, and want a career (not a job), iNET is for you.

Cons

Determining priorities is a constant battle. Lack of structure embraces creativity and innovation, but often feels like dangling over a cliff. Nose to the grindstone approach favors results, and organization takes a backseat---which occasionally affects productivity. Interdepartmental communication can be a struggle.

Pros

Bonds formed with coworkers. Paid lunches. Paid holiday party. Job stability and business shows no signs of slowing down or closing.

Cons

I just have one question: If four out of five fingers are hurting on a hand, does the one make up for it? No, right? Well, a FEW people staying and building long term careers doesn't justify the fact that so many leave (and the term "so many" doesn't even begin to cover it). With that said, most of the positive reviews are scripted and by filtering by date, you'll see they started coming after so many negative reviews came in first, and if you observe the high turnover rates, you'll probably agree that there are more scripted good reviews than bad. - Lack of direct deposit - Being asked to stay/come into work even when sick - Poor communication between management - Overly militant 'management' style which means getting shouted out, cursed at by the owner in front of other coworkers, in front of clients, customers...How hard is it to address conflicts with maturity and calmness?
