      It's a mixed bag.

      Pros

      Great coworkers. New and interesting tech stack. The environment in the tech department is really warm and welcoming despite the companies many shortcomings. Great location.

      Cons

      Lack of direction and poor leadership. No training. Regular layoffs for no reason even though they are already severely understaffed. Very poor work/life balance. The CEO is way too involved in everything; making decisions on things he isn't educated or involved in and making hire/fire decisions based on shallow interactions with his staff.

      EcoPasses, subsidized parking, central location

      Cons

      The workplace behavior in areas of ops is the most appalling I've seen. Customer facing departments, account management having the worst reputation, are known for background noise consisting of vulgarities, inappropriate recounts of weekends, and gossip about other employees (my favorite of these stories being the "would you rather?" game while listing coworkers deemed unattractive...vile). The managers do not take action, and seem to contribute to this themselves, having reputations for complaining about other coworkers to subordinates during one-on-ones and bragging that they will try to prevent them from getting promoted. The irony is that these people often win performance awards repeatedly due to the cozying up they do to ignorant executives.

We are very sorry you didn’t have a great experience during your time here. talentReef embraces its young culture and provides opportunities for young professionals early in their careers. We recognize needing to improve training and development, including training for those starting out in the professional workforce, and are actively working on these processes. Leadership development is important and in October several managers attended a training session to further their skills. More training and development opportunities are being implemented to train the next generation of leaders and offer career advancement opportunities. Moving forward, performance awards and promotions will be based on measurable goals and accomplishments.
