Pros

Amazing opportunities for growth within the company, management/leadership actually CARES and LISTENS to what you personally think and feel. I personally have never worked for a company that valued each individual employee as much as this company does. We have equal opportunites to coworkers in our departments, bi-weekly one-on-ones with our direct supervisors, attainable commission goals that can be achieved within the first few months of working here, monthly team meetings, and a caring and genuine culture of people who want to help others. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to those looking for a company to learn and grow with.

Cons

This is a personal pro for me, but there is a lot of change in this company... but without change, we can't grow - we become stagnant. I see the changes leading us to further developing our employees, our customers, and our brand.

What an amazing review! THANK YOU! As your CEO, to hear that you feel listened to & cared for, is a BIG thing. Especially, in times of strong growth and rapid change (which you rightly highlight as a potential CON for some and a potential PRO for others), it is important to stay connected with everyone (irrespective of whether you thrive in fast changing environments or not)... As one of my favorite quotes goes: "If you want to go fast, go alone! If you want to go far, take your time to take others along!" That said, I have to play the compliment back to many of you within our AmpliFAM: For leaders to be able to listen and care, it takes the organization to SPEAK UP and voice their opinions. This, I do NOT take for granted (whilst I do expect any modern leader to listen & care) as it takes courage and trust, to make your voice heard. I truly believe we are getting better at this as an organization and I hope that more and more of you speak up, to allow us to listen, care and go far... together. Yours, MCL

Pros

This is my first week at Amplifon and the onboarding process has been one of the best I have experienced in my career. They put a lot of thought into the process and the welcome has exceeded my expectations. I can't wait for week 2!

Cons

Nothing so far and I am looking forward to moving to our new location in Downtown Minneapolis!

As the CEO of AMPLIFON AMERICAS I am super happy to hear this; especially, as we continue to hire as we grow and, especially, as the 'onboarding process' in the past has been subject to criticism and - having listened to that feedback - has been redesigned by our HR team to make for a better experience in terms of 'what' we do and 'how' we do it. Effective onboarding is a critical component in setting new members, like you, up for success and, hence, we owe it to you. We succeed as a team, if you succeed in your individual role. Please let me know your experience after 1 month (if you want!); my office door is always open... (and, yes, even in our awesome new offices downtown ;-)!!)

Pros

There really aren’t any. They steal from the audiologists and sell the manufacturer’s outdated hearing aids at a discount. They also lie to their referral partners and expect the front line people to explain the lies!

Cons

Horrible management who never takes the time to know how everyone does their job. When you ask a question or provide honest feedback, you get “you’ll need I make it work”. I couldn’t wait to find my next job. Overtime is demanded.

With regard to your comment about audiologists and our business practices, nothing could be further from the truth. We provide valuable services to our hearing care partners to help their business grow and flourish, enabling people across the country to experience the gift of sound. I’m disappointed to learn that after working with us for over 5 years, you did not see any fun or rewarding opportunities in your time with us. We offer our teams wonderful opportunities, both here and abroad, for professional development and career advancement. Judging from the number of participants we have in our company sponsored activities from the company softball game to our impromptu gatherings, it appears that many people are having fun at work and enjoy the company culture. We are extremely proud that our employees voted us as a Star Tribune Top Place to Work for 4 years in a row. There is no doubt that our team members work hard, which does sometime include overtime and extra hours during peak periods. If your experience was different than that, I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you directly to see how we can improve on this. We promote that time away from work is important for the health and wellbeing of our all employees and if we are missing the mark on this I’d like to know more. I understand that every company has its unique culture and I am grateful for the service you provided to our company during your 5-year tenure.
