Lots of BS "good" reviews getting posted lately, I imagine that's just damage control. Time for some truth. Potential employees, you must read this carefully:
Every con you read on other reviews holds true, except the shills saying "no cons".
Let us begin:
PMs, BAs, Devs, DBAs, QAs, et al: You must take your laptop home. Expect to stay in the office until 3 am on a regular basis. You better answer that email at 10pm.
Company lacks direction- this is shown because of the ever-changing focus of the company. They claim they "help patients" but all they really do is leech off of big pharma. The two owners do not run the place- the CTO does. His policy is to understaff the place, overwork who is there, and chuck you to the curb after you've burnt out. He's consolidated lots of non-tech units under his umbrella in pursuit of that bonus. For the above reason, I have chosen "does not approve of CEO" because the CTO runs the place.
Recent PTO policy changes have employees who leave on good terms losing half their PTO; this was put into place to address the horrific 1.8% per week turnover rate. As others have said, there is a tendency of managers/directors to put down ex-employees who leave on good OR bad terms. It's immature.
Also, the pay is terrible. I'm uncertain as to how deep into salary I can get here and still get this review posted, but I'll keep it high altitude: every job there is at least 10% under market based on a 40 hour week, and when you factor in how many people are working 50 at work and 20 more from home, that 10% becomes higher. There are no boundaries between your employment and your life at AssistRX. There is no work/life balance. When you think of companies abusing the "salaried pay = unlimited work hours", this company could be the poster child for the concept.
P.S. All the bad reviews on Glassdoor are true. This company does not value your work. This company does not value its staff. It makes a show of it with the free beer/snack schtick but it's a lot nicer to not be afraid of termination every day. Unless you like living in fear under the worst that corporate culture has to offer, this place is a must-avoid.
