Pros

The management in Engineering department is both knowledgeable and seem to be genuinely concerned about the well-being of employees. The tech stack is quite diverse, offering a range of technologies to work with. High turnover creates opportunities for career advancement. Plus, a day off every second Friday is a nice perk. Pay is ok.

Cons

Flex Friday seems to exist to make up for the lower than the market salary. Talented and well-qualified individuals tend to suddenly disappear without any clear explanation, like during the Soviet Union's repressions — you come to work one day, and they're blocked. Feedback from the direct management is minimal, leaving you largely uncertain about your performance. Inquiring for feedback often proves ineffective, as management is overwhelmed and occasionally forced to fulfill multiple roles like sre and developer in addition to their regular duties. If you're not based in one of the locations that has an office, it can feel like you're somewhat invisible – you don't receive any company merch, recognition, or much of anything.

Lacking Leadership & Engagement

Pros

Decent benefits Flexible schedule Great Core Values

Cons

As a technology & security company you would imagine the company would have a more progressive way to resolve issues and more qualified management. They do take a chance on people, but often do not reward and follow through with promises made to employees in a timely manner. There is high turnover rate in many departments, lack of communication and you should expect restructuring with each New Leadership Team that comes in. There is not a set level/pay scale or consistent evaluation for performance reviews and salary increases. You never have Human Resources involved as mediators in conversations to know the lines that managers or co-workers cross. There is a lack of professionalism, which can be difficult if that’s not the environment you are used to or expecting. Expectations are not equal among all employees and departments. There are too many managers within this small company. In some departments there is 1 manager for 4 or less people. You can expect to see a considerable amount of favoritism based on your ability to complain/talk over people and not the quantity/quality of your work.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you as a current employee. As a recent hire, I am excited about the progress People Operations has made throughout the organization and will continue to make with our new CEO. We are moving towards a performance-based organization with measured goals that we will evaluate twice a year. If there are indeed inappropriate engagements again, I trust that an employee feels comfortable speaking directly with me Head of People Operations discreetly. Human Resources can be requested by employees and managers to ensure both parties feel equally heard. We are evolving as an organization while growing in and outside the U.S we have an open-door policy and feedback is welcomed I look forward to hearing from you soon.
