Pros

This is the first company I've worked for that actually embraces the 'work hard, play hard' mentality. They have parties on-site for many occasions and have fun off-site activities, such as renting out a movie theater for the latest blockbuster. I love the perks like the fancy coffee machine, free lunches tuesday / thursday, dogs allowed, snack /beverage bar and ping-pong table. Close proximity to the bay trail is nice, lots of places to walk. They are very open to new ideas whether it be an idea for an offsite or a company-structure change.

Cons

Most people work very hard and if you are unwilling to strike your own work-life balance, you may find yourself working more then you wanted to.

Pros

The best part of Axcient is the people and the culture. It's what keeps me coming to work every day. The CEO is passionate and inspiring and you can just tell this company is going places. Axcient is working on some exciting technology and I'm looking forward to building out or Gen3 platform. The lunches are great and the atmosphere is fun. Ping-pong, nerf wars, etc - definitely a silicon valley environment with a work hard/play hard culture.

Cons

There's a lot to do and a lot of pressure to go faster. Startups move at a crazy pace and Axcient is no different.
