Pros

Relatively casual atmosphere, nice people!

Cons

Company changing from a service-oriented call center to churn-and-burn sales. Walking away from the values that built them.

Build.com has been built on serving homeowners and those who serve homeowners since our inception. If you feel that there is a bias towards professional tradespeople, that is not true. We're not a supply house, but designed around helping homeowners find exactly what they need for their remodel. We also cater to an extensive contractor base that has very specific needs. I'm sorry if you feel that we've veered too far towards investing in contractors, I'll definitely examine our resource allocations and make a determination. We do however still have an amazing customer satisfaction score, so the data suggests we're still serving them well. I appreciate your concerns and thank you for posting.

Pros

Company makes sure they have a complete open door policy to give feedback on issues or make recommendations for improvement. Advancement opportunities are abundantly available for those who want them and are willing to put in the work. Company provides great incentives, from recruitment bonuses to free Taco Truck days, all for various reasons.

Cons

Fast paced environment doesn't allow for as much interpersonal communication as is needed.

Pros

Flexibility and a real "work hard/play hard" attitude. It's refreshing to be able to work at a place where I am treated like an adult.

Cons

Advancement gets toted as a common thing but doesn't happen quite as often as what its claimed to be
