Fun Environment but very High School Drama

Pros

Fun work environment, lots of perks (free coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, beer on Thursdays, lots of vendor funded lunches, etc), vacation time and great benefits and great parties

Cons

Our HR team is very good at over promising things before they hire, they take forever in the process, and then under deliver with the actual jobs. This is a highschool environment, so you need to play the game and make friends if you ever want to get ahead (if there is any open positions). Not much opportunity to move ahead head, turnover rate is pretty high. There is not much communication as to what is going on in the company, lots of secrets until the news comes out in a company wide email.

Glad you enjoy the work environment and perks we offer. Sorry you felt overpromised to, it sounds like you're just getting started in the company. Most of the managers and directors are promoted from within so we are voracious internal promoters. If you feel like you're being passed over, maybe try a different department and be PERSISTENT! Moving ahead is a function of growth, so as long as you're willing to move anywhere within the company, there should be opportunities. We're solving the communication this month by developing a monthly state of the union email.

Cons

- It is not for everyone -Hours can be long -Because of the nature of the open door environment some co-workers can be very aggressive/unprofessional even for the company standards -Communication challenges between departments

Thank you for the review. Great feedback, we're working on communication issues. We've also experienced leadership changes in management in the sales center, so I'd expect some changes coming soon. Appreciate your time here, and wish you well in the future!
