Pros

Build.com is a great company to work for, employees are treated well and those who put in the hard work are rewarded for it and compensated well, especially for the area we are in. You get what you put into it! LOTS of hiring from within vs externally.

Cons

Those who're not here to put in the time and effort will not enjoy! As stated above... "Work Hard... Play Hard" ... working hard comes first.

Pros

Everyone starts at the bottom, no matter who are unless you are specifically recruited. If you start in Sales (which most do) you have the opportunity to build your own book of business to ultimately control your income. You can work as much as you want to or see fit, and honestly it shows on your paycheck. This is an environment that truly rewards the innovators and people love what they do. If you "suck" at your job or position your in, then its likely you wont be looked at for another position or be promoted. You have to prove you can make it in one role before you can be considered for another. Kind of like... if you cant hack it here, why would you make it there?? This company is constant growth, regardless of what people may think or have perceived from past decisions made by the Plumbing giant that bought Build.com years ago. Things are always changing and growing, because they understand that taking risks brought them where they are now and than without change there cannot be progress, and with no progress they become stagnant and begin to fall behind... we all know what happens to a company when comes.

Cons

With all the good there is some bad... some people have slipped through the cracks of the intense hiring process over the years that still linger under the radar. Those people make it hard to come to work at times, but in all honesty its up to you whether you do well or not. With constant change being great, it also brings about issues that some people cant handle. With the amount of change always happening, some people feel left behind or walked over, which can happen. with the change it beings uncertainty within the ranks and causes confusion. that can be discouraging and make people fearful of the future which ultimately affects to morale.
