Pros

Good salary. Some folks are really intelligent and doing the best they can.

Cons

The leadership is a mess. No one seems like they want to work there and is always on edge. The principals take zero responsibility for their failings and push off problems or blame lower level employees.

Pros

Projects are challenging and exciting. Good connections with clients.

Cons

Poor leadership culture that starts from upper management and trickles down through project engineer levels. Poor leadership often leads to lack of motivation and job satisfaction. No concurrency between PM's. Each one does things differently and some cut corners. PM's have lack of understanding for running a business. Most probable cause for lack of growth and profitability within the company. Very difficult to advance internally. No encouragement for training and development. Huge push for productivity and doing whatever it takes to remain highly billable. Year to year raises are small due to overall financial performance. Finance and payroll departments constantly make mistakes.

Pros

No leadership. It's important to be billable, no concern about project profitability. Comical leadership; East Coast can't get with the West Coast. Bridge Group hates the Marine group. Shared services so Business Development leaders gossip between each other and only talk about the bad stuff. Extremely high turn over of upper management. Potential to move into these roles easily.

Cons

They try to micro manager everything, so they actually can't see the big picture. Rules change daily. Everybody develops their own loop holes. High turn over, nobody wants to make a decision.
