Pros

They will lure you in with a good salary but it is not worth it. Bonuses are few and far between though they act as if they are KPI based.

Cons

Where do I begin. The leadership is extremely unfit and corrupt. I’ve been in the workforce for 20 years and have worked for major Fortune 500 companies and have never seen such incompetent, rude, and entitled leadership. For example, the CEO, Carter Barnhart makes fun of candidates and other employees on calls with over 50-100 people. Her husband, an imbecile and co-CEO has no social skills, empathy, or leadership capability. He is known to be cruel and employees actively avoid interactions with him. Additionally, they have no trust or faith in their employees. We found out that they were secretly monitoring us but they were defensive and did not stop or apologize. I worked remotely, but my colleagues in the offices would tell me bizarre stories about interactions with the CEOs and their assistants. This is all extremely disappointing because the mission of the company is wonderful but is overshadowed by the 3 inept leaders. Don’t fall for their false promises. Work anywhere else.

Pros

Nothing? Pay was decent. They try to make you feel like you have purpose by “saving lives.” I believe the therapists are good people, the business end of CH needs a lot of work to practice what they preach.

Cons

To start, it’s a cult. In the simplest terms. CH disguises themselves as caring about fixing the mental health crisis at all costs and simultaneously ruins the mental health of their employees. IMO They lie, manipulate, and are entirely fake and toxic. When you encounter issues, they put on a guise that they care, they’re founded on employee relationships, they’re there to support you in anything you need; and then use whatever your issue is against you behind your back. Upper management consists of corporate snakes who are personality optimized to terminate without empathy. They go back on their word, the recruiters lie to you about what the roles of the job are until you get hired and find out what you’ll actually be doing. IMO Charlie Health doesn’t care about “ending suicide,” they care about making money. Period. It’s a cringe culture where if you don’t chug gallons of kool-aid a day you’re liable to be termed for anything. The turnover rate is high, and from my personal opinion/what I observed the therapy program itself is bad. I do believe there are good people working on the clinical side, but on the sales end it couldn’t be further from the truth. Save your own life and time and don’t buy what they’re selling. This is not a treatment center, it is a cutthroat business. You could cut the level of BS in this organization with a knife. You will be a cog in the wheel to founders who present and are worshiped as demigods. It’s just all fake and contradictory. IMO a valse vision to line the pockets of these no names who had the great idea to profit off human suffering. Business and healthcare should not mix, and well, if they do, it better be a good business that represents the same values as they do on the other side. Charlie Health simply does not. *these are all simply my opinions, observations, and perspective. I’m sure others have found success.

Toxic environment, the poor reviews are true.

Pros

Some of the best and brightest are recruited to this organization.

Cons

Sadly the bad reviews are accurate and true. The culture is cult like and if you do not mold to that, you will be discriminated against. The recruitment team is advised to avoid all applicants that speak about work life balance. Employees are advised to provide positive reviews on forums like this to filter out the truth of this company. Executive leadership micromanages these highly accomplished professionals and the environment is cut throat. Please know this is not a mental health company- this is a tech company collecting data on every client, every employee, and in my opinion does not have their clients nor employees best interest at heart. It’s unfortunate executive leadership continues to ignore the feedback/suggestions coming from their own employees, as the individuals that work here have the biggest hearts and truly care about helping their communities. For a start up that has tremendous potential- unless they change their ways, this organization is not sustainable and will not continue to attract top talent.
