Pros

The adult counseling program is a great program for the clients. If you can put up with management that treat their employees like garbage.

Cons

Constant disrespect from upper management. Lying and manipulation

Thank you for your feedback Former Employee in Fort Lauderdale. We're sorry to read that you had a negative experience with Chrysalis Health and that management had not lived up to your expectations. This was unfortunate as we continuously strive to build a culture and work environment grounded in mutual respect, trust, compassion and collaboration. We are constantly striving to improve processes and as a high-growth company, have been doing so over the years with great intent and thoughtful deliberation. Please know that we think every person (past and present team members) are valuable to making Chrysalis Health a great place to work and we appreciate your feedback.

Pros

Allegedly flexible schedule Working with clients Getting the hours for licensure without a struggle Paid licensure supervision

Cons

Your schedule is not as flexible as they promote. Either way, you will be working from 10am-8pm Monday-Friday. During the day, you will driving to at least five different schools, and in the evenings, you will be on Zoom or people's homes. There is no bonuses. Bonuses are only given if you reach unattainable goals that THEY have set. The tiny PTO that is given is encouraged to boost your paycheck, when hours will be low. They say this is a benefit, but what they are really saying is, "we don't want you to self care, we don't want you to take any time off." You will get a lot of pressure from management (who I am sure is getting pressure from their boss) about needing to maintain your hours. They do not care if you burn out. This company is designed and benefits from burn out. HEAVEN FORBID, you get sick and need to use PTO before summer. Your paycheck is screwed, and it will count against you and your hours and your performance stats. So, don't get sick at these school shaped petri dishes. Working here is like "paying your dues" now to be successful later. It's terrible, but practical.

Pros

Bonuses and meeting other professionals in the field.

Cons

Everything! Please just don’t give Chrysalis a try. You are overworked and do not get overtime. The management here sucks! You don’t receive support; you only get chaos and barked at by your manager and then their boss will yell at you too. They claim they care about what you have to say and value your feedback however whenever I gave them feedback and shared my opinions the manager and his boss got angry with me. The company plays favorites and gives opportunities to their favorites and ignores those who are not the favorite. The boss is always ready to take away your bonus you worked hard to earn and they write you up for every little thing. Every single thing goes to HR here. The boss doesn’t know how to communicate effectively so he lets everyone else solve his problems with his employees. They are always promising things and lying to employees here at Chrysalis. They claimed we would have a buddy and we never got one. They claimed my boss would be supportive and do case staffing which never happened. My boss just went over what I typed on my progress notes and that’s it. What a waste of time! My boss didn’t seem to care about anybody’s growth. They will say one thing and then it changes a few days or even hours later. The company has a very competitive culture. Lots of competition here and they are only concerned about who can bring them the most $$$ and won’t care a bit about the employee. They say they are a “family” and they are! A big dysfunctional family! I would not recommend this company to anyone! Stay away! Super high turnover at Chrysalis Health!
