Pros

good trainings, supportive staff, upper management with mental health background

Cons

as with any in-home counseling there is a lot of driving and this is a paid for fee service so if the client is not home no payment for the employee though the company is trying to improve on this situation

Thank you for your feedback Current Therapist inTampa. We think it's cool too that most of upper management has a mental health background and we've done the work and understand the rewards and hardships that come along with this work. We all struggle with something and punishment is not something that is encouraged for these reasons, we will however, try to provide coaching and support to help you be successful. Please be sure to attend the therapist support groups and the new Social Butterflies self-care group for additional support and camaraderie. Our Think Tank is a great place to share more suggestions based on your experience and we want to hear from you to continue making Chrysalis Health the best it can be for our team members, clients and communities. Thank you for all that you do and hope your experience continues to be positive minus the punishment!

Pros

Set own schedule, can take time off, not micro managed.

Cons

The hourly rate including gas is not sufficient for the work you do which includes phone calls, documentation, etc. Other companies that are fee for service such as big Bear pay minimum $34.00 per hour. We don't get paid for group supervision. The insurance we must keep on our vehicles is extremely high, which works out to cut into our hourly rate. PTO accumulated is minimal. As of january, we must see a mandatory of 100 clients per month, whereas when I was hired (a few weeks before the change) it was only 80 and that's why I agreed to take the job as I has a set plan in place to undertake higher education while working. They changed the bonuses which is terrible. So now we must work even more to get more and chrysalis talks comstantly about doing self care, but how can you when you have to meet these quotas?? When your year is up they "promote You" to lead therapist for line $1.00-1.50 more per hour in an effort to keep you on. They need to give you more than that. Also, instead of adding clients to your caseload that are all over the place have a set intake person who zones the zip codes and then assign them according to each therapist who takes those zip codes instead of adding randomly.

Thank you for your feedback Former Outpatient Therapist in Tampa. I am sorry to read that you did not enjoy your experience working for Chrysalis Health. In some areas of Florida, such as the Greater Tampa area there may be larger zones for clients, however we are continuously decreasing the size of all zones across the state in an effort to decrease drive time. Our Fee For Services rate has been gradually increased and a new bonus structure is in place. The Lead Therapist promotion for those eligible has always be an increase of $2.50 to the FFS rate. We hope you found an employer that makes you happy and fits your needs better, if not consider checking Chrysalis Health out again. Thank you for your feedback!

No growth unless you're in South Florida

Pros

They'll bring in employees with less experience and there is potential to grow, but only if you're building relationships with the "right people" and those are all in South Florida.

Cons

It's inconsistent. Management in South Florida are supportive of changes and growth. Management in Orlando and Tampa have been very vocal about how comfortable they are and have zero initiative to better themselves or the company. Since they have no interest in improving the company, they're quick to discourage employees that do. Salary for every position is grossly under market, but they offer "flexible schedules". Therapists can get reprimanded when they create their schedules a certain way and admin are expected to be in office during business hours (unless you're management, then you can "work from home" and take your kids to the beach) Benefits are expensive, PTO is extremely low, and there are no paid holidays.
