Pros

I used to be someone that would say there were so many pros working at Clarivate. Unfortunately since the acquisition in 2020 this place has gone completely downhill on every level.

Cons

The ever changing ELT is a complete disaster. They have made it crystal clear that they don’t care about retaining any talent here. Most of the talent in product and sales has already left or is planning on leaving. Unattainable quotas given after months of waiting(we are talking about increasing the numbers by 50-100% with a much lower commission percentage with less accounts) and they think that people aren’t smart enough to notice.

Pros

The company is in growth mode and given the massive increase in size, there should be new opportunities available moving forward.

Cons

This is the first time I've been part of a company who was so disorganized. From the top down, there is confusion and disinterest in making the lives of employees better/easier. There is little direction and often the direction that is given is either ambiguous or unreasonable. It's almost as though nobody knows who is running things so nobody is comfortable stepping up and taking on responsibility. Attracting new employees is extremely challenging due to the nature of making multiple acquisitions in a very short time span and the challenges that go along with it. Integration of these new companies is hectic and haphazard and communication within the organization about acquisitions is extremely slow leaving no time to prepare for the event. The result is a bad experience for the company being acquired as well as those internally who are impacted by the change.

Pros

Immediate colleagues are brilliant, empathetic, outstanding team members.

Cons

Embarrassingly low pay. New employees without education requirements making 40% more than current employees with degree req and decades of experience for same title and job responsibilities. Criminal and should be audited. Benefits this year are garbage, deductible is 2x what it was last year for low deductible plan. RTO mandate is dangerous and unthinkable during a global pandemic, after taking away Covid sick pay. Colleagues spreading covid among offices because of hissy fit email sent by CEO at 3am to “return to office or be fired.” Commute is 50 miles as the crow flies, wasting 3+ hours commuting round trip. Irresponsible. Raises are minimal even after a stellar year. 3% standard. Bonuses are not paid at 100% of 5% of employee meager salary. Employees absorb more work as more products are rolled out with no end in sight. Support for one product has turned into support for 7+ products with no compensation or staffing to balance. Careless way CEO speaks to employees (“I hear your concerns, but I believe RTO is best”) is indicative of carelessness across the board. Bonuses paid in stocks that are tanking. Heed these warnings, this company is bad news.
