Pros

A good compensation plan. You can make a lot of money if you are willing to figure out how to make it work. But don't expect any help.

Cons

They believe they have an amazing training program. They don't the first week is a self agrandizing waste of time and effort. When I started they were on their way up. They even made it to the top 5 in companies to work for. Unfortunately they started buying their own hipe and have been started slidding. In one year the dropped nearly 20 spots. Instead of figuring out what went wrong they have convinced themselves it was a statistical anomaly. Bottom line you know a company is on its' way out when the CEO is jumping ship.

Pros

I had a great experience working at CompHealth. They training was thorough and management was available whenever I had questions or concerns. The company takes its "Best Company to Work For" title seriously and makes effort to show appreciation for their employees. Sometimes the awards, parties, and events can be hokey, but they are usually fun and definitely done with good intentions.

Cons

The work of recruiting can be a bit tedious--lots and lots of phone calls. But there is really no better way to find doctors to work locum tenens assignments. There are many departments involved in placing doctors in the various hospitals and clinics CH works with. I think that the staff in almost all departments is great at what they do, but sometimes communication and a sense of urgency can be an issue. When an assignment falls through or goes south, it can be very stressful managing the competing interests of providers and clients (hosp, clinics, etc). But usually you have thhe help and support of management to deal with any serious problems. Also, there are a lot of competing locum tenens agencies out there and it can be frustrating trying to compete with the ones that mislead and cut corners with their physicians. CompHealth is thorough and consistent in their vetting of potential recruits and clients, but I feel that sometimes they lose business because of how much paperwork and documentation they require up front.

Pros

nice building, gym on site, nice management, healthcare on site, company training

Cons

If you like working at call centers and want to hate your job for a couple years until you build your pipeline of doctors, then this is the place. if you have a degree- you can find much better quality of work elsewhere where there is room to be creative. This company has a formula to tell you what to do and you can't do anything outside of that.. Its like you have to make 250+ calls week after week after week for 6+ months to try and find a couple doctors to work with. After you do all that, then you have to convince your team to believe in your doctor and actually place them. Also have to deal with doctors that think they are the president of the United States.

Pros

I have worked for many different companies in my career, and I have never had a company treat me as well as CompHealth does. I feel like they really want to see you succeed, and they do a great job with training. I don't see myself leaving anytime soon, as I've yet to find a company where the team morale was so high.

Cons

As with every sales position, it takes a little while to get into the higher commission bracket, as it takes a little while to build your pipeline. However, if you work hard and stay focused, you will build it sooner than you think.

Pros

Good fit for someone used to a Telesales environment. Decent Base Salary to help you grow. Comprehensive, Multi-Site Training program. Good Exposure to the Healthcare Sector. Culture is fantastic.

Cons

While a generous base, it is offset by a lower commission. But I can't say it is a Con that you have to work hard to achieve the higher commission. A high focus on daily production numbers where it may not tell the whole story.
