Pros

1. If you don't already have a job, at least it's that. 2. If you're looking for a job where you put in 110% and go home, this is the place for you.

Cons

1. The one and only real priority is getting that dollar in the door as soon as possible. 2. Going that extra mile or 2 for the client or CGS will likely get you a thank you from your immediate supervisor. However, it has never translated into any tangible benefit back to the employees and their familyies. 3. In his 'Presidents Message', Phil speaks of ... renewed commitment - to our customers, to our employees, and to the entrepreneurial spirit that has been our trademark. Phil - This is pure marketing fluff. It sounds good and it likely makes you 'feel good' when you read it. The facts are, base on my observation and the observations I've heard from many others within the company are:: The entrepreneurial spirit stops with you. It has not trickled down to my immediate supervisors and co-workers. Commitment to our employess - Sorry, I don't feel it.

Pros

- Close by - No formal dress code - Afternoon & Night shift allows daytime job search - People skills improve (sort of) - Free training, food stamps - Non-physical work - For first job it is all right

Cons

- Stressful - Does not allow professional development in any field - Social stigma - Low end wages - Micromanagement: As Big Brother as it gets - Bottom feeder job - Does not require higher education - Disrespectful treatment - sometimes - You gain weight from all the sitting and stress eating Bottom line: it destroys you psychologically and physically until you are nothing but an empty shell of a human being. Get out as early as you can.

Pros

Pros: There are a lot of good people at CGS. Many of your fellow employees are friendly, personable, and talented. As long as you do your job you have steady employment. It is a wonderful place to gain experience and learn. There is a lot of growth opportunity in the sense that you can absorb more tasks and responsibilities. Phil Friedman is a talented individual who built this company from the ground up.

Cons

There is no board. Management directives flow down directly from the CEO and no one's job is really safe. You are expected to work until the job is done, even if this means Saturdays and Sundays and late nights. Do not expect overtime. Your job is deemed a privilege and the phrase "just get it done" is often the only guideline management gives to its employees. 2 or 3 jobs can often be combined into one. If you do not produce you will be let go, immediately. You must be at work before 8:45. There are HR officials posted outside the door to take your attendance. If you are late 3 times you will be let go. An email is sent to your manager on the second time. The pervading atmosphere can be cut throat and ruthless.
