Pros

Company values that align with my personal values Respect for people Opportunities for training (even for someone over 50 yo)

Cons

After a succesful 1+ year project they let me go because they didn't see a new customer project in the near future (most of their clients operate in a different sector like banking and insurance)

Thank you for providing a response. We frequently hear that managers trust employees to do their job autonomously, providing support when needed. Since a significant portion of our population works remotely, keeping in touch is important to us. Frequent communication and idea sharing builds rapport, trust, and relationships among team members. Conference calls are an effective way to develop connections within teams when people are spread across the country. Chat with your manager about your concerns if you feel you aren’t getting as much out of the calls as you should. In terms of diversity training, we are proud to have a workforce diverse in backgrounds and ideas. The top rated statements in our most recent Great Place to Work survey were that CTGers are treated fairly regardless of their race, sexual orientation, and gender. We feel diversity should be understood and celebrated; training helps maintain that kind of awareness company-wide. We wish you continued success in your role!

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback! We're happy to see our commitment to work-life balance receive accolades in several recent Glassdoor responses, including yours! Juggling work and home responsibilities is difficult, especially during a global pandemic, so managers have been particularly attentive to their employees' well-being both inside and outside of work. We enthusiastically agree with your statement, "You get out what you put in." At CTG, employees are responsible for their career progression. Managers seek to understand their employees' desired career path and then help secure the tools and training they need to get there. Employees have direct control over how quickly they move through the process.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback! We understand the value many employees place on the ability to work from home, and are happy to hear you are enjoying that benefit, along with many of the other benefits we offer. Since we serve a variety of clients, the ability to work from home varies, but many of our positions allow for flexibility with fully remote and hybrid work options. We also understand that opportunities for advancement are important, so we are currently enhancing our career development tools. We want employees to be able to clearly express their advancement interests and understand what skills and experience are required. In terms of 401(k), while we currently do not offer a traditional company match, we know how important employer contributions are to our employees. For four consecutive years, CTG has provided lump sum contributions to participating employees’ 401(k) plans. We continue to monitor our ability to provide contributions. Thank you for being a part of our team!

Thank you for submitting your feedback! We feel our friendly environment is a direct result of CTGers embracing and exemplifying our core values. Open communication and respect are held in high regard by our executive and leadership teams, which not surprisingly, trickles down to teams all across the company. If an employee feels there is a lack of opportunities for growth, we encourage them to reach out to their manager. Our industry is transforming at an accelerated pace, which translates into new and exciting opportunities for our employees. Discuss your career goals with your manager so you can identify and develop a growth path together. Best of luck to you in the future!

Pros

I have a 401K now

Cons

No matching of the 401k No opportunity for advancement No reviews for raises As Colorado has increased the minimum wage, the employees have not seen a raise in pay to keep with the cost of living increase created by increased minimum wage Hourly employees are not provided dental insurance. Hourly employees have the lowest possible coverage for health insurance Concerns raised regarding pay or better benefits are not considered PTO does not increase with your time with the company. After more than 5 years with the company, I would expect to have had a raise more than once We are all very expendable

We appreciate the time you took to send your thoughts. You mentioned the surveys we send out, so we’d like to take this opportunity to highlight our Great Place to Work focus group that has been in place for the past two years. This focus group consists of employees from various departments and lines of business within CTG. Its goal is to analyze the results of our annual Great Place to Work survey and identify key areas of opportunity we can improve upon. The group provides actionable ideas and constructive criticism to our leadership team. The feedback from this focus group has been invaluable, as it provides a perspective that represents our employee population. Several topics the focus group is currently discussing echo ones you listed, such as 401(k), PTO, and salary increases. Employees with suggestions for improvement are encouraged to discuss their ideas with their manager or a member of our leadership team.

Thank you for sending your feedback. We agree that our people are one of the main reasons we’ve achieved Great Place to Work certification for three consecutive years. CTGers are supportive of each other and welcoming to new hires. In fact, one of our highest rated statements in our recent Great Place to Work survey was “when you join the company, you are made to feel welcome”. We’re proud of our collaborative work environment. In terms of the cons you listed, transparency is of the utmost importance to us. Our CEO, Filip Gydé, and the leadership team operate with an open door policy and practice open and transparent communication with their teams. In addition, you’ll be happy to hear that this past year we heightened our focus on opportunities for growth. We implemented a new Career Development Path document aimed at helping employees and managers outline career goals and the steps needed to achieve them. We are also focused on implementing new training pathways on CTG University that employees can use to explore and grow their skillsets. We also encourage employees to discuss career goals and desire for growth with their manager.

We appreciate your feedback. The ability to work remotely and obtain certifications are often highlighted as programs employees appreciate. In addition to certification classes and support, we offer thousands of free online training and development courses to all CTG employees so they may build up their skill set. Based on employee feedback we received in our recent Great Place to Work survey, we recently implemented new, clearly defined training paths for our service desk and help desk support teams. Employees can follow a training path and potentially earn certifications along the way to help generate opportunities for advancement and cross functional training. In terms of leadership, we feel our management team is profoundly connected to their employees and are in tune with their development goals. Managers adopt an open door communication policy and support an environment of collaboration and transparency. We appreciate your eight years of service to CTG and wish you the best of luck in the future.
