Mess, complete mess

Pros

9/80 schedule was great. Bagels were good too (pre-COVID).

Cons

Terrible and confused management. They over-hired at the top and had "leaders" who had nothing to do. They kept making lay offs at lower levels to cut costs and then hire more senior "leaders". Completely confused and bad direction. They have no planning, no clear direction, and make decisions on a whim! They keep trying to pivot the business model and have made an absolute mess of the company. Some senior leaders have unrealistic asks and if you voice your opinion you can find yourself in their bad books which may be extremely detrimental to your career here. The pettiness is unbelievable. They will work you to the bone and rid themselves of your services when projects are done. They got rid of some really good talent this year. Watching this, other competent people left, too. A total mess, and so I am really suspicious of some of the reviews on here!

Pros

- Great employees (locally) - Lots of employee engagement activities/lunches/events - Easy hiring process (when they aren't on a hiring freeze) - Very helpful HR (the onboarding process was very thorough, and he even gave me a building tour, then helped me get logged into my computer which was set up by IT and ready to go on day 1 - all of which was very different from my previous employer)

Cons

- Constantly changing the programs we are expected to use, and we are rarely or never consulted about whether we think they are good/better than our current systems, but rather Cubic forces them down our throats from Senior management down - We keep acquiring new small companies to help "grow our business" but then they lay people off because we aren't doing well financially that particular week. Clearly they are more worried about making the acquisitions than keeping their employees. We might have a meeting with Senior Leaders who will tell us how well our business unit is doing, only to hear later that week that we are getting rid of people to cut costs. - Extreme lack of direction. We are told today that THIS is priority and needs to be completed ASAP, only to be told tomorrow to hold on that and now lets prioritize something else. Makes it hard to commit to any single project and give it your all. - Lots of employees feel trapped in their current job/role and feel there is no real room for growth or advancement - Benefits used to be great, but have continued getting more expensive and less coverage - Pay is pretty good if you're an engineer, otherwise don't expect much

Pros

Good people trying to grow

Cons

While the desire is there, the CEO and his leadership appear incapable of achieving stated goals. Misguided acquisitions and neglect of the company’s greatest resource - it’s employees - do not bode well. Toxic culture and constant reduction of benefits. No sense of security or stability. HR is a mess.
