      Typical corporate setting where one can thrive with nepotism and connections.

      Pros

      Regular work hours with every other Friday off. Pay can be above average with all the government contracts. A lot of talented people to work with.

      Cons

      Management does not generally listen to workers (unless in the right clique). Everything is budget driven over doing things the right way. If you are lazy and can talk yourself up with management, you can definitely get promoted, without management asking for any feedback from co-workers. Rarely saw a project completed (local office) - always demos, but rarely get to final product. Engineers/programmers are coddled regardless of competency. Everyone else... Not a great place for creatives.

      Many talented and caring employees are sticking it out through the new ownership and eventual sale

      Cons

      Less investment then ever; Cost cutting and poor compensation; Mass exodus with no plant on retention; short term executive incentives for cost cutting first with now unfounded growth initiatives.
