Pros

I dont have to think for a second

Cons

I worked for a company that was bought out by Diversant. I continued to work there only because of the excellent project and the client. Here are my cons: 1) I work on a sponsored Visa and everyone in the IT world knows that the visa renewal process is like a life line for us. You could be moving mountains, finding cure for cancer, solving climate control, yet one mistake in this process will be the end of your life here. This company doesn’t take this any seriously than a mosquito bite. They will work on your renewal process like taking an order in IHOP and worse... when they screw up the order, they wont even apologize. The Lawyer treats you like that fly over his food - his timeline for any response is 2 weeks. About the paralegals and the admins who process your Visa paperwork - well the people washing dishes in IHOP or Wild Wings will do a better job. Consultants who are on Visa looking for a job, please run away when you here DIVERSANT. 2) Insurance- I have worked for way smaller Companies than this and got excellent insurance. Diversant’s mid level insurance costed me $1500 per month. Then during yearly renewals they proudly came up with new less pricier, better insurance. Guess what, that insurance doesn't cover major healthcare providers. So if you need to go to the doctor, you can only go to that shady guy who has a “clinic“ in the ally way behind a big hospital. 3) Benefits- They say they have 401k and paid time off. But in reality, benefits and PTO written on a toilet paper has more worth than what they give. 4) Projects/ Clients - They may have couple of clients but from what I know most of the consultants find their own project. 5) Salary- You will get your bi-weekly paycheck. And you have better chance of wining the lottery than getting a $1 raise from them. 6) Employee Relationship: They never answer or return your calls properly. They don’t care what/how you are doing and how your project is going. You will hear from them only when your project is about to end - just a courtesy call. Of course they have occasional parties, happy hours, sometimes even cruises. But they do it for themselves- account managers, recruiters, client managers, their office staff. Consultants will be lucky to even hear anything about it. I heard a funny story where one of their recruiter went to a client location to give cup cakes. The recruiter gave those cupcakes specifically to the client’s direct employees and managers and left out their own consultants. When I left the company, they didn’t care. To be honest, the main vendor was more concerned about me leaving than my own employer. 7) If you go for visa stamping and you get a 221-g, you better have GOD by your side, because Diversant will not even move an eye lid for you. They will direct you to the lawyer and guess what they will charge a hefty fee just to assist you. Still you will get nothing from them. Now I could go easy on points #2 - #6 (yet I hear a ton of consulting companies excelling in all of those areas). But I can very well say that 99.9999% of the IT consulting firms, prioritize & put excellent due diligence and attention to detail when it comes to visa Stamping & renewal process. They very well know that even a teeny tiny mistake will change the life for someone. Diversant submitted my visa papers with INCORRECT CLIENT NAME and wait for it ........ FOR LOCATION THEY GAVE MY TITLE & FOR TITLE THEY GAVE MY LOCATION. I got an RFE and delays in subsequent tasks COSTED MY WIFE HER JOB. Now does it make sense when I said the people working on this important task might not even know how to wash dishes ? Most of the consultants who are still with them are either not having any other options, or are in denial believing that it won’t happen to me - DE`NIAL AIN'T JUST A RIVER IN EGYPT !!!! So my sincere advice to everyone, just move to any company. If you are still desperate, don't have any options and if you feel this is the last Life boat, just SWIM. You have better chance of being alive.

Pros

I have nothing positive to say about Diversant, besides some of the great people I had the opportunity to work with and build a relationship with.

Cons

Where do I begin. Diversant claims to be a diverse company when Diversant doesn’t even recognize MLK day that’s one. That is just the facade that Diversant uses just to try to be different than other recruiting firms. If you look at the stats of the company there may be only a handful of African American, Hispanic, or any race other than Caucasian that works there. Secondly, the recruiters do all the work and do not get any recognition for the amount of work recruiters put in. When the VP comes in town, what do they do, they take the sales team out to a nice dinner and drinks while the recruiters just sit and continue working and getting burned to the ground. Recruiters have at least 20-25+ open jobs that are on their dashboard that are system generated. Boom here come these lazy account managers who doesn’t do any work but claim the job just because it may be in their line of business, but have not made any attempt to reach out to the manager, but then again they do not know the manager. But yet I have to split my deal with someone who doesn’t do any work and they get paid more than me for what. Out of the Charlotte office there were only 3 maybe 4 on a good month who would go out and get the jobs that are exclusive for the recruiters to work on. Mind you there are a total of 10+ account managers in the office and the company continues to add more account managers but would not spend the money to get more recruiters to handle the amount of work that is needed. I have witness Account Managers 1st hand not work on a job, claim they have business meetings and would never be at meetings. Good thing for Apple Technology where you could track another iPhone user with Find my Friends. It would literally show the Account Managers at the Mall or still at home, but yet the recruiters are not able to work from work. Why do you need the recruiters in the office when we cannot walk a consultant to his/her interview or even walk the consultant to their 1st day. The MD states that he would like to have another account manager go with the account manager and consultant. But hey it’s not my company I just know that this company is going downhill. Consultants stay away, especially if you are currently on a visa. I have seen 1st hand Diversant screw up consultants like yourself VISA’s and ignore the fact that they have screwed up your visa and will have you deported and not think twice about it or try to resolve the issue. I can go on and on and on about this company. I have been there for a little of 2yrs and I have witness 6 managers come and go and recruiters leave before reaching their 12 month mark. I am telling you, please stay away from this company because you will regret this mistake in your career. You will wake up miserable and not want to come to work.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry your experience at DIVERSANT did not live up to your expectations. From the onset, DIVERSANT takes pride in its national minority status and diverse workforce. Currently, 52% of our employees are diverse based on the recent company statistics. DIVERSANT currently employs approximately 300 foreign workers, including H-1B visa and green card holders. We have a very robust and effective process when it comes to H-1B sponsorship and green card applications. Despite recent governmental restrictions on H-1B visas and frequent visa denials by the USCIS, DIVERSANT’s immigration legal team has managed to secure 90% approval rate for our foreign workers. As to your dissatisfaction with the recruiter/account manager dynamics, our recruiters have access to all jobs currently in the system in order to promote cross-submittals. Gross profit is not split 50/50 between recruiters and account managers – rather, commissions are based on the full gross profit for each person. In addition, each entry level new hire begins its career at DIVERSANT as a recruiter and is later afforded an opportunity to choose either the recruiting or sales path, depending on his or her preference and other factors. Having said that, we always strive to do better and appreciate constructive feedback from current and former employees. We wish you best of luck in your professional endeavors.

Pros

I am only typing here to meet the minimum

Cons

Not sure where to begin? - They take away commission from you for bogus reasons, even if you have already placed the consultant - They definitely know how to micromanage and tell you to 'cover your reqs', but not once has someone sat down and actually taught me how to do something. The only people that have helped me dont even sit in my office. - Our leadership is so bad we've been suspended and kicked out of half of our accounts since I've been here - I would say almost a 100% turnover rate in management. Literally. - I can count the number of genuine manager relationships on one hand. Every placement is through black hole VMS portals. - We've lost so much headcount from being suspended and kicked off of accounts, then they change commission plans every two seconds (for the worse), then wonder why we have about a 90% turnover rate for our top performers

We are sorry that this opportunity did not work out for you. Our industry is very competitive and requires leadership agility. As a medium-sized company, we have the ability to work with our employees directly, beyond training, to make sure they are successful. If an employee feels that they need more training or help, we encourage each person to reach to their local manager to ask for additional support. Also, we have worked with several of our clients for more than 14 years and have added new accounts as well. As with most industries today, there will be challenges. However, we work hard to build a team that is flexible and able to navigate these challenges and strive for success. If you would like to speak with anyone on our team regarding your situation, please contact us at HR@diversant.com.
