Leadership is toxic and incompetent. They often assign work without providing context, direction, or clarity. After delivering the work, you may be criticized harshly without any actionable feedback or explanation. That’s because they don’t know what they want, they just like to treat people poorly. The leadership style is consistently disrespectful. Founders frequently speak to employees in a demeaning, parental, or punitive tone rather than demonstrating real leadership, support, or professionalism. The working hours are extremely demanding, and you are expected to be available essentially 24/7, including weekends. While hard work can be fulfilling, there is absolutely no respect for personal time, PTO, urgent personal situations, or basic boundaries. This environment leads even high performing employees to burnout. Employees are not genuinely valued. People are treated as resources rather than humans, and high performance is rarely recognized or rewarded. Appreciation is absent. Even when teams go above and beyond, leadership does not express gratitude, but criticism is delivered quickly and loudly. The company promotes the idea that employees get significant ownership, but in reality decision-making is centralized. Even the smallest choices must be approved by the CEO, which makes the “high responsibility” narrative largely fictional. The culture is not customer-centric. Product decisions are driven by the CEO’s personal preferences rather than by customer insights, data, or user needs.

This company is the definition of toxic. If you value your mental health, avoid it at all costs. The environment is built on fear, disrespect, and constant criticism. Executives routinely insult employees personally rather than providing constructive feedback, and leaders consistently criticize everyone but themselves. It sounds extreme, but it truly is that bad. The company markets itself as a place where employees gain a lot of responsibility, but that simply isn’t true. Decision-making is completely centralized - every tiny choice must be approved by the CEO - so the sense of ownership is largely fictional. Despite this, teams are expected to deliver high-impact work without any direction, context, or clarity. When you do manage to complete the work, leaders respond with hostility and accusations of incompetence, offering no explanation of what they actually want. The culture is not customer-centric in any meaningful way. Products are shipped based on the CEO’s personal preferences, not on data, customer needs, or what would genuinely add value. Burnout is the norm. Employees are treated as interchangeable resources rather than people, and exceptional effort goes completely unrecognized—there’s never a “thank you,” only more pressure and more criticism. How little the company values its employees is also clear in the benefits: no 401(k) match, weak health insurance, and below-average salaries. This is the least of their problems, but working hours are extreme, with an expectation that you are available around the clock, including weekends. While hard work can be rewarding, there is zero respect for PTO, urgent personal issues, or basic boundaries.
