Pros
- Company culture: The people are the best part about working here. Everybody is super supportive and friendly; there’s nobody here that I dread seeing every day. Management does a good job of working with people when they have extenuating circumstances, and little touches like free lunches and Buzz events go a long way in allowing me to meet people from across departments and tiers. I look forward to seeing my coworkers every day, and I’m never in a situation where I feel like I can’t speak my mind. - Room for growth: SharpSpring is a growing company and shown a commitment to promoting from within. This motivates people to do their best work and it shows. Also, SharpSpring is a total meritocracy, where people get promoted based on the quality of their work, rather than the amount of time they’ve been in a role. Again, this is a huge motivator and I think that it brings out the best quality of work for every employee. - The product: SharpSpring’s platform is designed to allow smaller marketing agencies and companies to grow and scale rapidly. Working in Client Services, or in SharpSpring in general, it’s a good feeling to know that we’re helping people expand, make more money, and hire new employees as opposed to just lining the pockets of people who are already doing well. The platform is powerful and new features are added constantly. Keeps you on your toes a bit, but knowing that our customer base is getting a huge competitive edge in the industry is rewarding and exciting.
Cons
SharpSpring is growing quickly, which in my opinion is a good problem to have, but there is definitely a little less of the small startup vibe that existed when I started working here. The people are still great, it’s just that I don’t know everybody’s name and face anymore, and our new office is more compartmentalized. Just like with any job, at times there are product decisions or management directives that not everybody agrees with. Thankfully though, I feel like employee input is always heard and valued in regards to these decisions.
