Pros

Decent pay to begin with and bonuses are possible. Discount on health benefits for nonsmokers. Overtime available when it's offered. Relaxed dress code.

Cons

Starting out you spend 3-4 weeks in basic training. Learning the history of Express Scripts and basic customer service training. When training is over they pull names out of a hat to determine who goes where. Once on your new team you may be placed with different people who may or may not follow procedure and you're expected to learn from them. You're taught in training about ethics of the company and how the patients and clients are #1 but there are just too many questionable moments that feel like that's not what's really important. There are Supervisors in position who don't seem to know much and can't really assist you properly. Some Team Leaders are more personable and easier to work with than Supervisors. There's no consistency with leadership. The gossiping & cliques among leadership and employees is ridiculous. There are contracted employees who make more money & survive layoffs while permanent employees are kicked to the side. Most team meetings were held for the Supervisor to rant & rave about the negative while positive acknowledgment was null & void. Being an "All In" employee didn't seem to get me very far.

Pros

There are a lot of specialized teams and a lot of opportunities to specialize on certain clients or certain types of medications so that you become very stream lined in your job function. We're offered monthly bonuses based off of productivity and quality scores, so the opportunity for extra money is there if you work hard. The insurance and benefits are pretty good as well as the discount program offered to us through Abenity where you can save on just about anything you can think of from online shopping to airline miles to car insurance.

Cons

The particular call center and department I work in has 18-20 teams, each managed by by a different supervisor. We have 3 department supervisors and then it continues up the chain from there. They all have totally different managerial styles and knowledge levels, as well as backgrounds. That said, with all those different supervisors walking around, you never know what to expect. One may tell you to handle a case one way and then another will walk up and chastise you for doing it that way. It gets confusing really fast. They also all give out different information regarding HR things like attendance, etc. So you may be sitting next to someone who shows up on time for work once a week and has been out of work unexcused 30 times who has never gotten a write up, while the person on the other side of you has worked for the company 13 years and has a different supervisor and missed 3 days for the first time ever because they had a heart attack and were in intensive care and they got written up. There's no rhyme or reason to it. It all seems very unorganized. Training is not very organized either.

Pros

Great place to work to be introduced to managing people. Training offered for self development is the best!

Cons

Senior management is not interested in people. They are focused on increasing their own visibility and anything that interferes with that is unwelcomed.

Pros

Health benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Terrible, stressful culture: employees are miserable but reluctant to speak up about how they feel, as though the company sucks all their moral fortitude out of them. Complete sink or swim environment; training program leaves a lot to be desired. Regarding employee treatment, this company does not live up to its values of: INTEGRITY - profits over people (customers and employees alike) MUTUAL RESPECT - There's a lot of lip service, but there's no way a company is rated as the worst place to work in the country (rightfully so) if employees feel respected. I've never worked for a company I felt did not care about its employees more so than here. PASSION - Management doesn't care whether you're passionate about work or the company, so long as you don't voice it and still work 50+ hrs a week. ALIGNMENT and COLLABORATION - There is incredible amount of misalignment and divisiveness throughout the company: major departmental changes that impact other areas are not communicated throughout the organization; internal areas that work together are sometimes unable to contact one another as a policy; a lot of inefficiencies as a result of commonly accepted CYA and "pass the buck" practices (eg., having to verify clearly and expliicity requested information multiple times). Outdated technology

Pros

work at home environment available and many opportunities for overtime

Cons

1)Poor training. 2) Company is VERY reactive instead of pro-active. 3) Company seems to be moving towards contract positions vs. salaried employees. This causes increased stress in the team and a lack of job security

Pros

Ability to work from home, decent pay and benefits, casual dress, good PTO accrual rate, no weekends, schedule flexibility if you need to leave early or start later

Cons

Upper management makes decisions constantly, frequent layoffs make employees always nervous about job security, not enough training when changes occur, contradictory information in different systems make it difficult to know which information is correct, systems slow and can be down for hours-not good when you have to catch up later and asked to work weekends to make up for it. Also, bed bug history in Mason. They do try to control with treatments, but do not advertise what the "routine spraying" is for.
