First of all, don't hire more therapists if current therapists on the team are already struggling to meet their quota. Lately Fox Rehab was all about GROWTH, but this is faulty at its core. Before GROWING, make sure your roots are not rotten. This brings entire morale way down. No matter how many times RD is saying "it's not your fault you don't have full caseload", it doesn't mean a thing if you are still forced to use your personal days and bank to cover missed visits. By the way, it's impossible to "bank" units if there are no people to see in the first place.
You are hinted that MC week is 7 days a week and if you can't make up your units Mon - Friday = you may need to work on the weekend (floods, hurricanes, 3 feet of snow, cancellations, hospitalizations - that all doesn't matter to them). Sometimes, if there are "visits" available in the nearby region - you are expected to cover those visits, even if it means an hour commute each way for 1-2 treatments.
Documentation is required everywhere, but why don't I ever have a free weekend? This job bites into my family and personal time with no reimbursement for documentation, travel time/miles, mandatory 7 am meetings that may last 2-3 hrs.
Fox has been scrutinizing our notes and comes up with new areas of improvement, but that means writing much much more than even 2 years ago. We are expected to elaborate on every exercise, every activity in so much detail that it makes me cringe to think how much time I am forced to spend on documentation vs. actual patient care. PLOF section of IE has be like a novel by their standards now. I understand we all need to ensure MC pays for our visits to see clients, but PLEASE make MRS more user friendly to cut down on documentation time by increasing pre-filled select-click options, not narrative.
OHHHH, and how about those salaries? I haven't seen any raises, even when I get excellent annual review. Talking to other long timers in our region - no salary increases (even 3-5% annually, industry standard) since around 2012/2013. Spending too much money on appearances and not on devoted and excellent therapists within the practice.
Happy therapists = excellent patient care and high employee retention rate. NOT AT FOX REHAB.
