Pros

Unfortunate policies are not always strictly enforced. Most likely due to high turnover. flexibility (but long hours required, negates it)

Cons

I wanted to chime in before the fake reviews planted by management descend to cover up the real ones. Working conditions in rehab overall these days are bad, but the official policies of this company really suck. Cancellations, no shows, and bad weather can quite literally put you in debt to the company and they explicitly tell you that you owe them money at the end of the year if your bank (accrued hours of overtime) is negative (or you can sacrifice your vacation). Whenever there is extreme weather (hurricane, blizzard etc.) coming we get a memo essentially saying "be safe, but you're not getting any time off, so you'll be giving up your personal time, figure it out or pay". The "banking" system has never worked for me because they could never find enough patients for me to "bank" anything. Because of this, I am officially expected to be available to work 7-days a week (really, its the policy) When I didn'y have enough patients, I was encouraged to call old patients to "check on them" in order to drum up business, which is uncomfortable. The vast majority of patients, while very nice people, are typically very elderly with degenerative conditions with very minimal "rehab" potential who I was encouraged to see for months at a time. I treated the same patients over and over again. The good news is, that, because its got to be difficult to retain people with such policies, they aren't always that strictly enforced. Also, as other reviews have stated, hours of paperwork done during personal time, unpaid meetings, uncompensated travel, unpaid travel time.

Our clients are treated with evidence-based, clinically excellent care. Following geriatric best practice, they are able to achieve optimal function. We know everyone has potential. With that said, let’s address these “fake reviews.” From Glassdoor: “Invite current employees to provide honest feedback to help showcase your company’s transparency.” We absolutely ask people to review us, and they are absolutely authentic. Here’s the email we’ve begun sending: “We’d love it if you would take a moment to review FOX on Glassdoor! As you may know, Glassdoor is a website that job seekers use to research companies to help them make educated decisions about choosing who to work with. It’s important that our employees provide continuous feedback on what it’s like to work with FOX, so we can continue attracting great talent like you! And though one of our fundamentals is to practice Team Spirit where it is our responsibility to discuss issues so that we can make things go right, we also use employee feedback on Glassdoor to as a way to improve our practice. I’d ask that you spend no more than 15 minutes on this and to be honest. Remember, all the feedback is anonymous.” As for our banking system, you have a full calendar year to make up missed clients. With all of these points, we hope you’ve shared this with our leadership during your time with FOX. If not, we can assure you we are reviewing these points now. We hope you accomplish great successes as your career continues and that your clients can meet their full potential!

Pros

Up to date with Medicare regulations, “flexibility” with schedule

Cons

Where do I begin? They sell you flexibility from the start, they want you to be a “Fox fit” employee, but what does that REALLY mean? Meeting the highest of high expectations; taking hours of work home, attending unpaid meetings, unpaid travel and taking your PTO or going into a negative bank for uncontrolled cancellations from patients, all while keeping a grand smile on your face. This company is a hole that only gets deeper with time. Please do not take this position if offered. If I could go back, I would have never taken it.

Let’s begin with what makes FOX unique and the foundation of our flexibility: Our clinicians are salaried professionals. Seeing six to seven clients per day is quite conservative compared to other practices. We understand that productivity expectations are evident across health care. We believe our system works as we continue to make documentation and all areas of treatment more efficient and better communicate about our total benefits structure. As for taking PTO and negative bank, our clinicians have a calendar year to make up cancelations. To address your closing remarks, there are great clinicians everywhere throughout our disciplines. Plenty are a fit for FOX and thrive with us. Others are not, and that’s alright, but it doesn’t equate to us not valuing happy, well-trained clinicians. From refining our EHR, offering more benefits, increasing transparency, and having better communication, we are 100 percent dedicated to constantly making our practice better for you. Because of this, some clinicians who’ve left have returned and we’ve welcomed them back with open arms. We would almost certainly do the same for you. In the meantime, we wish you the absolute best!

Pros

good educational opportunities.

Cons

poor personnel policies regarding benefits. No paid sick benefits. Unrealistic quotas for home visits. unethical mid and lower level management regarding frequency of treatment and when client can be discharged. Will keep client on program way too long for monetary benefit. Top management unaware of what goes on regionally. Promotions are to candidates that tell you what you want to hear no matter how inexperienced.

Appreciate your recognition of our educational opportunities as we are always encouraging our clinicians to improve their clinical skills! Quotas given for home visits are based on market analysis that determines how many visits a clinician will be able to complete in a given territory. FOX only brings on clinicians if we are confident we will have enough patients in a manageable area so the clinician can reach their quota. Our goal is to keep clinicians in as condensed of a territory as possible to improve efficiency and provide work life balance to the clinician. FOX always aims to deliver clinically appropriate care and has an extensive quality assurance team to be sure patients are discharged at the appropriate time. It is highly suggested to contact your team's Regional Quality Assurance Liaison to discuss proper discharge management/planning. Our culture continues to be our top priority as we expand into new territories. Many of the individuals in management roles began as full time treating clinicians and aim to uphold the values that began the practice and allowed FOX to grow.
