Pros

You're paid minimum wage and given 40 hours a week, so it is indeed steady employment and you're not likely to ever get sacked unless you start screaming down the phone at a customer and swinging punches at people.

Cons

You will be treated like absolutely dirt by people are aren't as qualified as you to do their jobs. Everyone in the call centre is there for the same reason you are; the economy is on a downturn and a call centre job was the quickest you could get. You will be monitored by OPs managers and team leaders who will literally tell you off if you take too long going to the toilet. I have received a threat because I was closing an issue on an account I dealt with the previous day and they saw this as not being "available for calls". This is the modern day workhouse. You clock in at the exact time or you'll be punished. You work non-stop throughout the day or you'll be punished. Say goodbye to evenings and weekends because you can be sure your hours will not allow you those, you'll be in customer service. I would 100% recommend you avoid employment in Firstsource. You deserve better than minimum wage for a job that will mentally exhaust you and management that will treat you terribly.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. I am sorry to hear that your experience with Firstsource has not been a good one. We are proud that the vast majority of our employees (in all areas of business and those who work with our concession partners) enjoy a happy and fulfilling career with us. That said, as hard as we try to get it right all of the time, there will be times we fall short. We encourage our employees to give us feedback through their managers, through employee nominated representatives and through our employee survey, so we can continue to learn and improve the way we work. Please feel free to get in contact with us to discuss your issues further and offer us the chance to change your perception

Pros

An abundance of opportunities for overtime.

Cons

A major lack of leadership. Low compensation. Expensive benefits, especially for what is offered.

Pros

As long as you do your work you are left alone. I'm an onsite rep so I have a lot of flexibility in work with no one over my shoulder. Pay is decent and you can negotiate at hiring.

Cons

There is no support from management. If you're onsite and there is a problem they will not support you for fear of losing the contract. Increase in pay is a joke unless you change positions. All training was done via phone and wasn't really mandatory. I was already do work when I was signed up for telephone trainin and therefore my work was more important and I rarely attended the training. There is no SOP so everything you learn or don't learn is due from OJT. Management only cares about the numbers the set at the bringing of the month and the incentives to reach these goals are a joke.
