Pros

The "unlimited" PTO is ok...

Cons

Unorganized and unprofessional leadership. HR, training, and sales/marketing/account management teams have no idea what they are doing and are constantly changing objectives before any real processes can be seen to be successful. This company tries to pride itself on culture and empathy but that is a huge red flag for "I will manipulate and lie to you and then not pay you enough".

I am saddened to read your review. Without any information about your role or tenure, I am left unable to understand your experience or address your concerns. In the absence of information, I can only assume that the experience of working in an agile and dynamic environment that iterates regularly was a poor fit for you. If that is the case, then the practices at the core of our business, such as fail fast, and launch early and iterate, might feel disorganized or unprofessional to you. I can, hand on heart, say that a people-first approach is very real at GoCanvas. All our leaders are trained in Servant Leadership and attend a monthly leadership academy where we have covered relevant and current topics that help them genuinely put their teams first, such as avoiding burnout, supporting team members through COVID, inclusive leadership, and more. I thank you for sharing your experience with the Glassdoor community and wish that you had shared your concerns with the HR team during your tenure.

Pros

The team is great Remote work Good work-life balance in sales

Cons

Quietly fires teams in waves, low job security Changes teams and goals every 6 months or so without giving teams a heads up Continues to change goals to make them harder to meet while bragging we are making more money year over year Looking to get acquired in the next year or so. Last time we were acquired it completely changed the company and had a negative impact on employees

Hey there, firstly thank you for all your contributions - with a tenure like yours I am certain you were involved in some really impactful work. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with the Glassdoor community! I agree, that our team has unlimited paid leave sets a tone of work/life integration and balance. Our team members are able to take the time they need when they need it and our team leads and executive team model this ensuring it is a consistent and accessible benefit. You are also correct in that our teams, for the most part, are able to set their own OKRs. Yes, we always collaborate to ensure that everyone is on the same page, but largely we let the team members lead. The same is true for our performance management, everything begins with a self-assessment, which in addition to performance details, includes feedback for management and desired future development. I am not sure I understand your assertion "that you can't simply 'work'." What we see every day is empowered team members getting work done, serving our customers, and progressing towards goals. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.
