Pros

There's always a place for you every year

Cons

Everybody gets the same onboarding and training (both new and returning staff) and it is not enough to get you started on your own

Pros

*Work the shift you want outside of tax season. *Reimburses mileage. *Pretty much act independently provided work gets done.

Cons

*Tax season requires you be available sixteen hours a day, seven days a week, at a moments notice, without paying for on-call status (7am to 11pm CST). *No guarantee of hours. *No promotion opportunities. *Kansas City call center techs are hit-or-miss, leaving times where a dispatch two hours away can be something that is fixed in thirty seconds (yes, this did happen to me).
