Old boys club + mean girls = toxic environment

Pros

Decent salary and benefits, downtown location

Cons

Lots of in-fighting, undermining, and bad behavior all round. Lack of accountability from leadership, who seem mostly invested on climbing the corporate rungs. IT has a stranglehold on Product and has yet to move into this century in mindset and execution.

Pros

The company seems to be positioned well under the current CEO. Many transitions in the last couple of decades and this seems to be a strong position and focus on IT core strengthening to elevate the business as a whole. IT has been a wrangling adventure and is heading into a stronger position in the cloud for cost, development, and managing resources in the current model.

Cons

There is a lot of push, push, push. An annual cyclical season creates that but the resting is not often applauded. I had given strongly for many years and followed management to only end up in a bad health situation from much stress and overwork and while trying to rest it turned into an even worse position ending up in being fired while not meeting expectations. It can be very rough over the long haul. Maybe a good adventure for a few years, but not someplace I recommend committing yourself to you or they will burn you out.
