Pros

The best part of being a Level 1 Tax Pro at H&R Block is that it gets you some experience working in the tax return industry: working with people; working with numbers; working with deadlines and under pressure.

Cons

The worst part of being a Level 1 Tax Pro at H&R Block is that they train you to do tax returns but the majority of your work consists of the business side of H&R Block that they don't teach you in their training courses. And when you do learn the business aspect of the job when you're working directly across the desk from worried, impatient, tired individuals.
