Pros

Good location and if you are in great need for a job, consider temporary. Tampa

Cons

100% commission, every new Medicare sale is paid at $400-$500 to the company. Agents make 1/3rd of sale, company profits from 2/3rds. If you make less than $800.00 from your accumaleted 1/3rd-you owe the company. They try to tell you that, they will give you a loan for two weeks of work, if your accumaleted 1/3rd commission does not exceed the $800.00 and you owe the company the difference out of your next commission pay... but you already made the company 3X the money!!! Wow!! They also make it look like your getting paid hourly for tax purposes!!! Say your non-exempt but 100% commission employee!!

We actively work towards providing HPOne employees with an enhanced compensation plan that allows them to be successful. As the company continues to grow we continue to make changes and take employees feedback very seriously. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

Pros

If your with the right supervisor your job might be fine for a while.

Cons

Horrible training, pay is one of the worst commission structures I have seen. On top of that, they don't give you a raise based on performance. If your lazy and don't want to expand your career this will be fine place. The brokerage is even worse then the Acquisition side. stay away to many issues to list here.

Pros

Inside sales job with the promise of making a lot of money during AEP.

Cons

Company is not sure what it wants to be when it grows up. Has a lot of growing pains. Promises new leads on opening day of AEP and there's nothing. Promised at the interview that they were the number 1 lead source so why are they buying leads? Carrier contract should've be signed and solid before AEP. It happens the same time every year. A lot of cold calling, Was promised that there would be people waiting on inbound but it is skewed to certain veteran agents. Two weeks into AEP and already laying off agents. It's a commission against the draw meaning that you could owe the company thousands of dollars before you hit your quota and bonus. Prediction that 70 of the brokerage agents will be laid off in December after AEP is over.

Pros

Super happy to hear the recent news from our CEO on the massive growth HPONE is experiencing. The Brokerage is practically doubling in size this year and the MAQ team is also growing and expanding to new sites. Lots of opportunities for us. Time to update my resume!

Pros

They currently have a great training program that I got to be a part of. I started as a temp and then became an agent. I love coming to work. It's a great environment and they really take good care of their employees. They've also surprisingly open to new ideas and suggestions.

Cons

Sales positions are not for everyone. They will expect long hours from Oct to Dec. and the rest of the year you can still make good commission but it gets harder to make commission

Pros

I don't have a bad thing to say about this company. It is challenging, fulfilling, and offers high income potential. It is sales, so it isn't for everyone. The company gives you free leads, and they are high quality! People go online looking for help with Medicare, fill in their information, and you follow up with them to assist in finding them the right coverage! you aren't just shoving a product down someone's throat. you are consulting with the customer, educating them, and enrolling them in whatever company and coverage they want! The commissions and bonuses are higher than similar companies out there, and HealthPlanOne offers renewals/trails on your sales. The environment is fantastic, the sales director, Cyndi Ray, truly wants her employees to have fun and make great money doing it. The company is wonderfully flexible in balancing your home life balance. They care about their employees and customers. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. I am here for the long haul!

Cons

This is a growing company, so you may have some hurdles to climb when you first get started. It's like you run your own business, they give you the leads, but it is up to you to convert them to sales. the people that I see complaining are those that don't take accountability and don't seem to listen to the coaching and feedback. the management team dedicates almost all of their time to developing their employees and making them better.

Pros

Great Company To learn the ins and outs of medicare. Get license get some practice and get out. trial by fire basis you get to practice finding your nitch on leads, Very flexible on hours and good co workers and management when not micro managed

Cons

They Pay outside of AEP is not great, They over sell what your true potential to make. The only people who make money at this company work 60-80hrs a week when you break it down your better off working a non sales hourly position you would make the same if not more. The commissions are low for being 100% commission job
