Management's extent of diversity seems to lean towards the 'white-male in khaki pants' - when looking to hire up the ladder - especially when out in the sales rep positions and branch management positions. while females do work in the industry, it is much more rare to see them out in the field - as they tend to do more 'office' based work.

Hard work, consistency, tenure, and dedication don't = reward or recognition in return. If you're not shiny, new and young, plan on being invisible and taken for granted.
