Highmark, with the utmost hypocrisy, promotes healthy work environments while subjecting their own employees to the highest level of stress that I have ever endured. Morale is abysmal because job security is non-existent. Over half of the people that I started with were fired before we reached the first year anniversary, and others had quit because of the intolerable conditions. You go through training, but then learn that various ways to cut corners should have been the only required subject. Anyone with work ethics will not survive here, period.

Very top heavy, often more management involved in projects than analysts. With so many managers, none are willing to take accountability or make decisions that are good for everyone, everything is based on protecting their own team rather than the company as a whole. Big emphasis on hiring project managers, but very few are actually qualified or understand their responsibilities. "do more with less" wears down the excellent employees, and no apparent discipline for those who avoid work or find loopholes. Punishments are "all or none" so that managers do not need to confront troublemakers.
