      Too much culture not much work

      Pros

      All of my immediate colleges and managers were great because they always focused on getting work done instead of the company culture fluff.

      Cons

      The CEO cusses too much and claims he is authentic. We had to go to a off-site event where we spent 4 days talking about past traumas. As a contractor all of the people that I actually work with are remote but I am still required to come to the office where everyone is taking calls all day so the office is as noisy as a call center. There are lots of extra meetings that take away from actual work, we are even required to do homework for those meetings instead of doing actual work. The salary is terrible. The career prospects are not good, you get moved from project to project so it is hard specialize in anything.

      ITT is a family. A family built on love, trust, and creating abundance.

      Pros

      You cannot put a price tag on being a part of a family. This family is dedicated in word and in deed to making me the best person I can be, and not just professionally. ITT is about being a part of something bigger than myself, and not just a job where I have to give my precious invaluable time in exchange for money, It is about creating teams, opportunities, value for our customers, and resources for the employees. It is about friendship and fun, and about developing my own skills to become better at my job and at life. We build each other up and work each day to make our own lives more meaningful and fulfilled. For me, this culture is more important than the paycheck, and this team is more than just random coworkers. And I have worked for a lot of other companies.

      Cons

      In order to maintain the family connectedness and culture that ITT is about, ITT has severely limited remote work. I do enjoy going in to the office, and you can work remotely for limited times in extenuating circumstances, but yes, the flexibility of extended remote work is not possible here. The pay is somewhat less than can be found at other similar jobs, but I would like to mention that those higher paying jobs, much like higher-yield investments, come with greater risk. It is because ITT provides low prices to our clients that we have stable growth and do not have to lay off dozens or hundreds of employees when the economy dips. I am not dissatisfied with my income, but some people have felt so.
