Pros

There aren’t any at this company

Cons

This has been a horrible experience coming in as a contractor. Training was rushed and we don’t have all the resources needed to successfully complete the tasks at hand. Worst position within the company (or so it seems) since management allows most callers to get away with verbal abuse. Can you report it? Yes Do they follow up with you? No Can those same cardholders that verbally abused you keep calling in to abuse others? Yes Which indicates Nothing is ever really done about it except reporting it! Report it to make it seem like they care but truth is their contract with the bank/credit union is more important that a little name calling or abusive behavior from one of their card holders. It’s obvious. Almost impossible to move around in the company unless you know someone or you’re one of managements favorites. The pay is extremely low for this role. The call volume is insane. It’s never a pause in between calls. This company is greedy and take on more credit unions/banks than they have people to handle the volume. So you can expect to be constantly over worked here. You will take about 110-130 calls per shift. And most of the people you’re speaking to will be rude, condescending and abusive. So there goes your mental health because they don’t want you off the phones taking breaks outside of your scheduled break. No inflation increase and annual merits are a couple of cents 0.28 is what you’ll be rewarded for staying with Jack Henry for a year. Management here lacks everything needed to be in a supervisory role. They don’t listen. Lack compassion when family issues affect you coming to work. They don’t take 100+ calls so they don’t understand how defeated you feel when you’re constantly abused all day all they do is focus on why your ACW is too high or why you needed to log off in between breaks because you needed a mental break after consistently being verbally abused. They don’t understand because they can’t relate to being on the Phones all day. They watch your screens like you’re purposely doing something wrong. Just to catch you making a mistake then you’re dinged for it. They don’t expect you to be human here more like a robot. The way they watch you is far beyond micro managing. Even when you’re doing great you will STILL be point out where you should have done something different. If I’ve honestly never worked for a more horrible company than Jack Henry

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts about working at Jack Henry. We’re disappointed to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. What you’ve described does not at all align with our core values nor our guiding principles. We have shared your feedback with the Contact Center leadership team. Our associates are the cornerstone of our organization, and we will do all we can to provide a safe, enjoyable work environment. Unfortunately, Jack Henry Is not immune to the current economic climate challenges. Like many other organizations, we are unable to realistically offset higher Inflation with an additional pay Increases across the board. That said, we recently made adjustments for the Contact Center, including pay increases for team members and working to alleviate some of the back-to-back calls by increasing time between calls. Our leadership team has zero tolerance for abusive callers. We have strong processes in place to escalate those calls and protect the customer care team member. We strive to partner with each customer care team member to help guide and assist with work-life balance, including time off. We are committed to continuously listening to associates in order to improve and grow as a company and encourage you to share your thoughts with your HR Business Partner or via email at humanresources@jackhenry.com. Thanks again for sharing your feedback!

Pros

Hybrid is an option for those in proximity to an office (but not a requirement), Jack Henry has Business Innovation Groups which helped me feel more connected with Associates; flexible with taking time off/company preaches using your PTO, allows for cameras off in meetings, and there's a lot of group work rather than being alone on projects.

Cons

I am very happy I left this company! Jack Henry was not transparent about how much traveling would be done in a post-pandemic world. Not to mention, traveling always has to be done in the cheapest amount possible, regardless of how it is an inconvenience to you (ie: taking 6AM flights/ landing at 2AM just to save the company $50). To add onto this, they lack competitive pay. I overheard someone in HR (unsure of what specific department) once say they prefer to NOT hire someone from New York or California because they "ask for too much money", so it goes against the efforts of their Business Innovation Groups, especially JHAnywhere who tries so hard to push against location bias and preaching inclusivity regardless of location. Not to mention, that statement confirms they prefer to find candidates to do good work at the cheapest price possible. However, do NOT worry about the lack of pay because they will send you hundreds of dollars worth of "Jack Henry" branded swag which ends up being incredible wasteful and never to be used again like beer coozies to stress balls.

Pros

Decent 401k match, if you have longer tenure Remote work

Cons

Below Average Pay Middle Management is horrible. Too many middle managers that does nothing but ask for update and capitalization hours. You will have meetings with 10 people where 2 people are actual contributors, 1 software engineer and 1 netops person who are trying to solve the issue, but 8 other "managers", just slow the work down by asking for constant updates during the meeting. Not too much interesting work
