Pros

Cafeteria, co-workers, park-like location, pay, benefits

Cons

Management, unrealistic metrics, awful turnaround. Many good employees have been let go with literally no reason given. The managers in PL don’t like it when people have a voice of their own, particularly in regards to how they are running things. One of the “submitted questions” to the CEO was “why is PL turnaround so high?” And the employee who wrote it was let go not even 2 days after. Management implemented unrealistic metrics in 2017 and the PL department had gone downhill ever since. Adherence, after-call, all the typical call center nonsense. As a call center employee you are also expected to remember an outrageous amount of information when speaking to customers and if you forget even the dumbest little thing you get talked to. Basically treating us like children instead of responsible adults. This used to be a great company to work for back in late 2016, early 2017. Now their turnaround is high and everyone is unhappy, at least in PL.

JM is proud of our Customer Care professionals and see them as critical to delivering on our customer commitments. We’re excited about recent changes that have resulted in positive morale, lower employee turnover, and 2019 above average engagement scores. Leaders continue to prioritize their talent, look for process improvements, and celebrate results under the leadership of our Jeweler’s Mutual Executive Team. Individual feedback, questions and/or perception are encouraged, and can be directed to a JM’s HR team member.

Pros

Great industry, committed employees, agents, company history. Company was a partner to the jewelry industry(was). The former CEO had high level of integrity. Their underwriters are some of the best in the industry. Their personal lines jewelry policy is a good value.

Cons

New CEO and NEW management do not value mutuality, staff, doing the right thing. Turnover is high. New leadership has questionable integrity. Lies continuously to there agents. Sees their agents as an expense, not a valued partner.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with JM. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and opinions. We acknowledge the culture is changing and our new leaders are positioning JM for the next 100 years. We are experiencing record breaking growth and exploring new markets. When a company undergoes transformation like this we also recognize that these changes are not always the best fit for everyone. However, we are excited to see what the future holds and look forward to continuing to provide the best customer and employee experience we can.

Pros

Good cafeteria nice office beautiful campus

Cons

I haven't been here for very long but I noticed right away that people seemed miserable. I left a O.K. job to work here thinking it had to be better but I wish I stayed at my old job. I have dealt with criticism my whole life, but at work I always give my best and didn't ever have to worry about being insulted and made to feel bad until getting hired at Jewelers. I definitely don't feel valued here and I struggle with making myself go to work inthe morning. I am tired and cried in the car so many times while driving to work here, cry at the thought of being trapped in my cubicle and trying to do a good job for the customers but afraid of messing up. I feel like I can't do anything right. Like the other post said the supervisors beat you down emotionally and I don't think I can take working here to much longer.
