Pros
A few excellent individuals work here - both as human beings as well as workers. Decent equipment: MACs, chairs, etc. Option to work from home as well as in the office - the office is like a TOMB.
Cons
(1) LOW compensation: bad health insurance via an insurance company who is a client - conflict of interest! Starting salaries LOW - such as $45-50K, which is MAYBE decent if you are a recent college graduate in Portland - but overall, ridiculously low for a so-called "tech company" <- which LS is really not (2) HIGH employee turnover: Some years employee turnover was 20%! Do not openly disagree with management, during meetings, town halls, etc. - your head will role. (3) Quality of Managers - If someone stays over 2 years...highly probable they will become a manager - which does NOT bode well for the overall quality of managers. (4) Too much reliance on SLACK - a substitute for real communication between employees; and employees & management. Also SLACK is really used by LS management as a backhanded monitoring mechanism.
