Pros

I learned a lot during the years I was here as I was assigned a helpful, honest, mentor. My mentor was close with my manager so they gave me the complaints they got from my manager so I could adjust accordingly. I also had many managers while there as they tend to change the managers on the contracts a lot due to them leaving for better opportunities but one was amazing. They have amazing company events as well. People are friendly in a very surface-level way but not generally rude.

Cons

Cliquey, unrealistic expectations, lack of parking in a busy area. There are inconsistent work opportunities (contracts tend to end early which is stated as allowed in the employee contracts). Lots of favoritism for the privileged employees (example invites to executives homes etc). Huge lack of diversity here as well. Management = mainly wealthy white men or women. One manager was extremely passive aggressive and irritable. I was not given clear info or guidance on issues but then would get written up for said issues I was unaware of. I was bullied by this manager (called names like “idiot” and given eye rolls etc) as were numerous other individuals during company meetings. When this was raised with HR no changes or training occurred. Lack of understanding for common life occurrences/issues is big here unless you’re in management. Execs + mgmt are unaware and insensitive regarding normal life problems. Health insurance is subpar at best. Managers are chosen based off of discriminatory practices, not based off who is best fit for the role. Overall, unless you’re a wealthy and/or privileged individual you will not succeed here. You will be pushed out.

Pros

Great health care options, including vision and dental. Good selection of coffee and snacks in the kitchen. IT and HR are approachable and quick to respond to requests. Most of upper management has an open door policy to discuss concerns or get to know you.

Cons

I felt the salary for my role and experience was severely under the market rates for similar roles at other companies. I was expected to participate in internal initiatives and it was ambiguous how hourly employees were to bill time. The office was open and got really noisy with non-work related conversations which was very distracting unless I wanted to talk about Game of Thrones for a couple of hours. As a subject matter expert, a good portion of my day was dedicated to helping someone else do their job which resulted in me working late to finish my client work. The managed service projects were underwhelming and did not provide a breadth of learning opportunities or career growth. The employee turnover in 2018 seemed high as many knowledgeable consultants left for FTE roles at other companies. I thought the company match 401k and annual raise was small compared to the company profits shared during the quarterly calls.

Pros

The coworkers (NOT included the management) are great people and extremely talented folks. Unfortunately, it's very much a case of "promoting to their level of incompetence" so the management is progressively worse as you go up the food chain. You'll learn a lot about Microsoft products Good place for a less experienced person to

Cons

Work life balance is non-existent, and you'll be expected to be "on call" 24/7 (despite this, there's no reimbursement for cell phone plans...or parking for that matter). Attrition, despite what their official responses say, is very much a problem (even a director confided to me that it was really bad and no where near average rates for other consulting firms). I saw people last about a month before they found something better and moved on. Can't say I blame them. They choose to keep a workplace bully just because he brings in a lot of money and at some point or another, he WILL butt heads with you in the most unprofessional way. Be prepared that if he schedules a meeting with you (actually, this goes for just about any manager), he'll stand you up numerous times until they finally meet with you 20-30 minutes late). Despite being hugely unprofessional and sometimes down right out of line, he's still there and one of the head honchos. Talk about hostile work environment. He talks a good game and can be very motivational in all-hands meetings, and then none of that really plays out. The employees aren't the priority - I mean, heck, they refer to us simply as "resources" - the client is very much the priority. Managers are partly project managers but mostly salesmen and it shows. Don't expect them to have a good grasp of your daily project work since they just don't have that background. Be prepared to drink, so if you're a recovering alcoholic keep that in mind. Hope you want to work for Microsoft, because you'll end up there eventually. They're always trying to attract new clients and having success with that, but the majority of projects are at Microsoft and very similar to staff aug. You'll have no say whatsoever in the types of projects you're put on and no heads up on what they're considering you for. While on the bench, I would be told around 11 am that I had a phone interview at noon (so no real time to prep). The benefits ranged from so-so to nada but they were working on improvements. Salary, however, really was disparate. Being paid $20K less than industry average happened often and annual raises, even with a great review, was tiny. The yearly bonus was usually nice but certainly didn't make up for the hours of overtime you worked. Speaking of which, be prepared to be put on multiple projects that add up to more than 40+ hours a week. They're essentially charging the customer as if he's getting a dedicated consultant at least part time, but the same person could have a full time project as well. So yeah, they're making money off of you but certainly not coming close to trickling any of that down to you. Reviews are a laborious process twice a year and follow the Microsoft model to a large extent (I never really got the feeling of a stack ranking persay, but the culture of it all felt a lot like it).

We do our best to ensure our employees maintain a work/life balance and never require an employee to be on-call 24/7. We understand that every employee needs to maintain a level of balance with their careers and open communication is strongly encouraged on this. We also consider skillsets and interests of our employees to ensure projects and consultants are matched up well. We have also begun implementing development plans that will increase the visibility of projects and experiences that interest you. All companies experience some form of attrition, however, your comment on this is not factual. We average a fairly healthy tenure and our attrition level statistics support being above the industry standard. Between now and previous years, we have never experienced turnover within a 1 month timeframe. In addition, we continuously solicit feedback from our consultants and strive to incorporate improvements in both perks and benefits. Not only do we provide quarterly company events, we also provide monthly events that bring consultants together for a fun and entertaining evening. Taking care of our employees is one of our top priorities and we will continue to ensure this. We have also re-structured our review process to be more efficient and reinforce fairness and consistency. Promotions and raises are based simply on your overall performance and we continuously compare with industry averages to ensure our consultants are compensated competitively based on their skills and experience levels. We appreciate your feedback and opinions. You are encouraged to contact Human Resources at HR@logic2020.com as they can provide a confidential and neutral environment to discuss and address any additional feedback and concerns.
