Pros

LCS has a great culture with all the employee events they offer. Their PTO package is also great.

Cons

The location near Fields Ertel is heavily trafficked.

Pros

Work from home options and nice office setting as well.

Cons

Back in 2018 LCS had a great culture. As the years have gone on they have grown and culture has changed significantly. They now have a middle management team that in my opinion has had a big impact on the culture. Less of a family feel and more of the do as I say culture.

Pros

LCS is open to hiring junior developers and provides a great environment to learn. The product is interesting to work on, and the company itself is highly respected. There is a a good amount of diversity here for a typically white male-dominated field. The office is beautiful and employees are well equipped when in person. You can expect a raise and a nice bonus every year. There are opportunities to cross-train and switch teams based on personal growth desires. They hire friendly, fun people and put forth a good effort to provide culture and team building opportunities. Sense of humor is abundant. The dev department is very well staffed, and people rarely have to work late.

Cons

They don't provide work laptops- not even during the worst of the pandemic when employees had no choice but to stay home. They only give the bare minimum required by the federal government when it comes to maternity leave (3 months completely unpaid). Only 2 weeks PTO and no designated sick days unless you qualify for long term sick leave (?!). No option for fully remote work. The hybrid work policy feels like babysitting - employees who opt for partial work from home still have to come in two days per week, no flexibility on which days. Annual reviews are not conducted in a timely manner.

Thanks for your feedback. There seems to be some confusion regarding your understanding of our time off policies. All of our employees have a minimum of 3 weeks of PTO each year and that increases based on years of service. Employees also accrue paid medical leave throughout the year that they can use for longer term medical absences including maternity leave. We believe there is significant value in interacting with your co-workers and managers face-to-face. This includes things like increased collaboration, enhanced relationship building, more opportunities to learn from others, ability to innovate, etc. We also understand that flexibility is important to our employees. In order to balance both of these things, we offer employees two different in-office work arrangements to meet their needs. Employees are able to choose from both a full-time in the office option (with flexibility to work from home as needed throughout the year) or a hybrid option (where employees work in the office two days a week and remote three days a week). We have received great feedback on these options and many of our employees appreciate the flexibility of remote work along with the connection they receive by being in the office.
