Pros
The pay is well above the market rate for most roles venue and corporate. The hybrid-friendly environment provides less commuting time to and from work.
Cons
For Sphere Entertainment People Acquisition specifically, I observed a significant lack of managerial competency from direct leaders. This was anything from communication, growth and development conversations, operations management, and task delegation. Some situations included: Not addressing questions related to Standard Operating Procedures, Was provided a "mentor" who ended up consulting myself for advice on procedures, Being told to ignore any potential prospects that reached out to explore job opportunities to name a few examples. I was recently let go with no warning after the past few one-on-one meetings were positive with a couple of "minor areas of improvement" per the Sr. Manager. The very next Monday, I am sent a message from my leader with no context asking to connect. I then join a call with a People Practices Coordinator and Sr. Manager and was told I am being terminated due to consistently not meeting expectations. The Sr. Manager then immediately removes my access to company systems and blocks my personal number. I found that out when I attempted to reach out to the Sr. Manager to go over any feedback they could give to improve on for my next role. Very odd based on the 1 on 1 conversation with my leadership just 3 days prior.... Based on the performance goals agreed upon by the Sr. Manager and I, from a numbers standpoint I was making a significant improvement in just shy of a quarter with the company. At the end of the day, I would say this. The numbers and reviews listed on the Company's Glassdoor page hold some weight. This is a company that has a 43% CEO approval rating. Don't ignore these red flags.
