Pros

Discount, you get to see new products, some of your coworkers are nice people, You get a lot of exercise from being on your feet all day.

Cons

Late hours and a lot of weekends. Unrealistic expectations of keeping the store clean, stocked, being able to assist customers and having enough people at the cash register when you only have 5 people working. Cleaning the public restrooms is awful especially as they don't provide much in the way of cleaning products or gloves.

Pros

20% employee discount, friendly environment, fun workplace, especially if you're into crafting! Incredibly flexible hours, and if your location also offers baking lessons you'll often find leftovers customers didn't take home on the break room table.

Cons

THE most annoying and strict email collection policy I've ever encountered. Not sure if times have changed, but when I left cashiers were required to get emails from 33% of checkouts. Most cases someone's email is already in the system and they don't want to give it again, or they're not interested in giving their email. I was encouraged by management to find ways to trick customers into giving their email. If the 33% rate is not achieved, they cut your hours and give you a guilt trip. I quit because I was being given 4 hours a week.

Pros

Employee discounts are great if you're an artist or any of that sort. If you work replenishment shifts, you rarely deal with people if you're not a people person.

Cons

The pay is the biggest issue. For all the effort and time replenishment associates put, they deserve more than any of the store employees excluding management. Nothing outstanding but at least a couple of dollars per hour more than the other employees.
