Pros

Staff continues to show they care about children MCH Culture of 2007 has not been completely killed Directors are survivors even if they are running like chickens Some employees and leaders still lead by example

Cons

Ambulatory Services senior leadership is reactive 24/7 leads by fear, everything is a priority 365 days Talent senior leadership leads with a 1960's perspective and does not hold accountable a certain senior leader VP in technology even though there are many proofs of intimidation There is no employee engagement, this is an all time low level No recognition program and no strategy for it

Pros

I truly believe most MCH employees love working at the hospital. Doctors, Nurses and staff all take a great deal of pride delivering outstanding care to all the children that come to the hospital 7x24x365.

Cons

Some members of executive management team lack integrity and morals which is very sad for such a once proud organization. The new leadership team does not lead by example and DO NOT adhere to MCH Way core principals championed by CEO / Dr. Kini. Case in point: A certain SVP that will remain nameless has lost the trust of some senior executives including their own staff because they all have witnessed first hand how they manage and treat employees by bullying, intimidation and manipulating.

Pros

Known to families and visitors as a caring hospital. Disney like. Informal at the front end level. People smile. Welcoming environment. Nice kid touch everywhere you go. Very nice play room and family center.

Cons

Recognition is non-existant. Email recognition. People are promoted if they know how to play the game. Fake it and you are good to go. Too much politics. Forget about speaking up. CEO is a wonderful salesman with poor management skills. Leading by consequence and fear. Not enough focus on real engagement strategies. The people side is completely ignored. It's all about process. Strategy looks good on paper but the amount of work is not manageable. No room for creative minds. Senior management plays "Simon says" and you better jump non stop.
